If that was the reason behind the delay they'd just announce one of the other headliners first.
Unless there other headliners are underwhelming. First announcement usually includes the strongest headliner which i imagine is to ensure people book and don't start looking elsewhere.

With Arctics seemingly nailed on for Mad Cool does that rule them out completely for Beni?
Reading and Leeds have just posted on social media saying that there wont be any announcements until 2018 which leads me to believe they could have Arctics as well and that's the reason behind the delay. With Leeds and Beni sharing a headliner this year - Kasabian - is there no chance Beni may have them as well?
Or am i just wishfully making up any connections in the hope its not Eminem or Bruno Mars....

Just seen the Cure have been announced for BST two weeks before Beni and jumped straight to conclusions. Turns out its their only European date of 2018 Would of happily sacked the Arctics of for them as the main headliner....

The Killers it is!

Any idea what time the announcement is? Memory tells me its usually 11am...
The Killers and TDCC will do nicely.

Remember that both Arctics & Killers headlined in 2013, so based on that, I'm not expecting both to play FIB again on the same bill, next year. If I was a betting man, I would be going Killers & Arcade Fire for Beni, and Arctic Monkeys for MadCool. MC & BBK benefit from both being the same weekend. TDCC would be a decent sub headliner on one of the nights - excellent live band!!! I think there will definitely be an announcement either this or next week. Interestingly, for 2013, I'm sure the first announcement came on about 20th Dec, and just before Xmas.
Great lineup that year. Hoping the 5 year gap is big enough to book them again.
Arctics, Killers, Arcade Fire and Florence / TDCC would do nicely for me.

Surely we'll hear something this week....

Like the look of this! Can anyone who's been before give me a rough idea of what to expect in terms of the atmosphere in the campsites? I've always found the campsites at festival abroad to be rather on the tame side (Excluding urban art forms in Austria).

I know this is slightly off topic but I'm heading to fib for first time next year and was hoping someone could explain the tent situation to me please. If I don't bring my own tent can I buy/rent one at the festival? If so what's the price and are there different sizes available? Sorry to ask but I can't find any accurate info on tents anywhere yet.
Cheers
Use the glamping company bud. Ive used them every year since 2012. Basically they have their own area within normal camping where they set up tents for people to rent for the week. The area has its own showers, toilets and security on the entrance to the area. The tent are nicely spread out unlike the general camping, and theres always a big area area of the glamping left empty for people within glamping to socialise each day.
Theyre not on sale yet but when they do, get em quick! Sold out last year way before the weekend tickets.
If you have anymore questions please ask!

I'd take a headline slot from The Killers!
Any other shouts for lower down the pecking order? Vampire Weekend and Vaccines with new albums next yr.
Could we see a festival run from The Streets? Special guest would be noiiice.
Happily settle for The Killers, seen them headline Beni in 2013 and was impressed.
Last year we had a few from the Mad Cool undercard so i'm hoping for MGMT and Jack Johnson off it this year!

QOTSA announced yesterday for Mad Cool and Gorrilaz have been announced for Bilbao BBK.
Was confident we were going to get at least one of these! The wait is starting to get to me.

Cheers for that bud. Missed out on tickets for them at the WHP so absolutely buzzing for this

Foo Fighters confirmed for PinkPop festival. Not sure about sharing headliners but acts lower down the bill have played both i.e Biffy Clyro last year.

After what was probably my favourite Beni last year the wait for an announcement is killing me.
Voted for the Strokes in their "who do you want to see" vote every year, hoping this time it finally comes true!

Does anybody know if the coach package tickets go on sale on the 1st? Can remember them being lower in price last year but not sure if they were released straight away...
-
Tweeted "Wondering if Live Nation will bring new life to IoW festival" and "I need to know more. I just cant get enough good info"
Two Depeche Mode song references (Admittedly i had to google for the first one)

Just out of interest to those who have voted, who did you go for?
The Strokes, Kings of Leon and LCD Soundsystem for me!

Anyone know a typical price for glamping? Also would they sell glamping as a package with tickets or will they be separate? I'd like to buy tickets while they're cheap but my GF seems to think you have to buy Ticket + Glamping at the same time...
For the two man tents they are usually 110 euros, 4 man tents 120 euros and then the 4 man bell tents 600 euros. Ive been to Benicassim 6 years in a row now and ive only ever stayed in glamping, usually the 2 man tents, and its been absolutely perfect.
Glamping is done separately through a private company so you cant buy a ticket+glamping package. Glamping will usually come online around November / December. Id be quick to get glamping tickets this year though as year on year their popularity increases and has started selling out quicker than the actual festival tickets!

Does anybody know what time Toots and the Maytals are performing? Im sure ive read somewhere that they are opening Lions Den on the Friday which is a bit of a nightmare as i will be travelling down to the festival that morning....

6th year in a row and probably the best year! The amount of people staying in campfest seems to decrease each year mind, with glamping on the rise. Not really a surprise though when you see the state of the ground in some parts of campfest...
Roll on next year!

Its walkable from the town. Probably about 20-30mins at a leisurely stroll. I usually walk there and back everyday but in hindsight this is probably why I end up with huge blisters.
A taxi will only be a few euro though and there is a taxi stop outside the supermarket.
I made that mistake first year i went.
Walk down and then bus back fully stocked with cheap booze from Lidl.
Roll on Monday!

Could you please change my name to TheFullShaboo please Neil.

I have applied to Oasis Carnival as recommended through the Glastonbury website and I've received an email stating that they have received my application back in December. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything more about when they are likely to tell me whether or not my application has been successful?
As i have worked for Oxfam in the past at different festivals i will hopefully be able to use them as a fall back is this one doesn't pull through.
Thanks

Fleetwood Mac?
"If everything goes will we'll be in Europe doing festivals this summer. Then we'll actually tour Europe, which is different than just doing festivals. Then we might do 15 or so shows in Australia."
Without any headline acts released yet is there any chance that they could be one of them? i cant think of many other european festivals that could have them seeing as most have allready announced all there headliners or at least the majority?

Eminem has just been announced for Coachella, which is possibly the worst lineup ive seen in years.
Chic, Jamiroquai, Django Django and the Drums are the only acts id be interested in having at Beni...
