  1. Kept saying it would be my final year at Beni (7th in a row) but after the organisational nightmare at mad cool its made me realise how much of a logistical dream Benicassim is. Apart from the increased security round the campsites - searched 3 times - i literally have nothing to moan about at all. Even with what i would say is one of the weakest Beni lineups ive experienced, all the acts i seen put on a hell of a show - special mention for Metronomy who blew me away again.

Absolutely buzzing for early birds to go on sale this week to pick up my excitement levels once again.

After this years festival it looks like ill be going to Benicassim for many more years :)

10:30pm. The Cure finish at 10. Wow. Tomorrow is set to be a belter of a day.

How early would you recommend queuing for these tickets if at all?

This may be a a stupid question, but how 'cold' does it get at night time on site. Thinking about what clothes I can wear - like would a light vest / shirt be ok to wear or would I be needed a proper top?

Around 20 degrees at night but its still shorts and t shirt weather. The bigger acts are on at night as well so you're usually in the middle of a decent sized crowd which only adds to the heat, and you're more than likely to be boozed up which helps. I usually take 2 t shirts for the week and this is only so i'm allowed in Lidl and Mercadona during the day time!

2 weeks today and ill be in Spain :)

  4. For the people still waiting on wristbands, is there a way you can track where they are via DHL? I’m having no luck with both ticketmaster and Mad Cool whatsoever.

Wouldnt normally be bothered but as I’m not getting to Madrid till late on the Thursday and Gang of Youths being on at 6pm, I don’t want to miss out on then because I’m queuing up to get my wristband.

Slightly OT but I saw a few people mention on previous pages that they were heading to Valencia straight after the festival...what's the best option for booking a train?? There's a few websites offering tickets but not sure which one to go with!

Getting close now lads!! This time two weeks I'll be sipping a pint in the darkest pub Madrid has to offer as I desperately try avoid the insane heat ?

I'm heading straight to Benicassim festival via Valencia on the Sunday afternoon!

Trainline.eu is your safest bet. I've been using them for many years now when i've traveled via train in Europe and encountered no problems so far! Would be soon though as prices have been slowly rising!

Nope, although we never got them last year either. We had to take our print at home tickets to the box office for our wristbands. I assumed that they would be better at sending them out this year to prevent long queues on the first day. We didn't have a problem getting through the VIP entrance, but I remember reading of long delays at the normal ticket entrance.

How long we talking for the normal tickets queue? I'm the only one in my group who hasn't received their ticket and i need to see Gang of Youths who are first on at 6pm....

  7. Just bought the 3 day bus pass, hoping for something very similar to NOS alive as their (shuttle) bus service ran smoothly.

I'm also yet to receive my wristband, however mines just the standard and not the VIP. Is anybody else still waiting on their general sale wristband?

    3 weeks today :)

I've purchased a ticket from third party ticket seller cause tickets sold out faster than last year. I believe the ticket must have your name on or no entry. been told by ticket company it doesnt matter about name on ticket. anyone had similar experience.

    regards

Last year i bought one via ticketswap and had to change the name on the ticket to mine, and as far as i can remember i did have to show ID to confirm it matched my ticket upon entering the festival.

Nice one. Are there any other decent bars/clubs apart from Donegal and Buddha?

Apart from Buddha mate i've never really ventured into the town / outside the festival too much during the night as we keep ourselves entertained round the campsite. Cheap booze from the supermarkets and a few other treats from the campsite is good enough for me!

Because its what I've been told. If you check back through my older posts, and also from what others have said in this thread, my info is usually very accurate.

Do you have any information regarding the secret headliner for Sector 6? Some of my friends are extremely optimistic and have decided its Pendulum haha. Not that i wouldn't be buzzing with this, just cant see it happening at all.

So... Buddha Bar. What’s it like? Can’t believe I never notcied it before?

Been a few times on the Wednesday before and from what i can remember, which is very little, its basically a big up piss up with non stop indie bangers. Think the Wednesday is usually a Propaganda club night and seems to attract a huge crowd. Keep an eye out for promo staff handing out free wristbands during the day in the town which entitles you to one free drink because from what i can remember the drinks are relatively expensive once inside. I just make sure i've drunk enough before going in!

Anyone reckon there will be enough time to get a train back to Manchester after the half 10 finish? Don't really fancy paying the 52 quid for the bus.

The last train back from Warrington is at 00:18 if you don't mind waiting around. Think this is my plan anyway.

Limp Bizkit and Gorillaz are both playing at the same time (Saturday night).

Was hoping this wouldn't be the case. Have noticed that on the Limp Bizkit website they've listed the 12th August (Sunday) though...

  15. Think the planned announcements are usually 11am GMT. Here's hoping for a good announcement. Not that it matters though, some of my favourite years have been when the lineup has been nothing short of trash. Walking round in nothing but shorts and flip flops at 4am off my box is what makes it for me :)

  16. Tim Burgess replied to a tweet saying that they’re playing in Nottingham on the Saturday. Reckon this leaves them open to play the Thursday, possibly up against Travis Scott? Or is it possible that they could do consecutive nights in different countries?
