New hint came today as I have said yesterday. The calculation adds up to 1999. Any guests?
It's not the Cure. Muse released Showbiz in 1999 and they are announcing their European tour dates in 1 hour
Love of Lesbian seems to be the most accurate answer doing the rounds on social media. 1999 is their most successful album according to Wiki, and they're Spanish!

Should have seen Queens at Finsbury park. It was over an hour for the water tap and 90 minutes to the bars.
The queues at the bar were only on the first day though? The systems crashed across the site to took a while to get everyone served. Don't think I queued more than 10 minutes for a drink on the Friday or Saturday.
Sounds horrendous. Not acceptable for the money people pay to attend such events.
Yeh things did admittedly improve, but we were still queuing a stupid amount of time for a drink on the last night. It wasn't as if we stuck to one bar either. Maybe we just had bad luck with our timings, but for me it was still a complete shit storm on the final night, albeit a slightly improved shit storm.

You must be one of them posh tottys that went, yeah first day was bit mad but only The first few hours but what do you expect with festival expanding to a big amount and who care what the festival is like a whole you go for the music which was unreal. Jesus hate to see what your reaction would be like going to leads & reading haha
It was a shambles from start to finish. 4 hour queues on the first day in 30 degree heat and then 45 minute queues at the majority of bars inside. This is something that would annoy most festival fans, not just a "posh totty".
Used to do Leeds every year - 7 in a row - and ive never seen a fuck up as big as Mad Cool put on.

Gotta be one of the most bizarre betting markets going. Julian and Albert Hammond Jr actively touring in separate acts and people are betting on them to headline Glastonbury with absolutely nothing to suggest they will (as far as I'm aware). Mind boggling
Didnt they mention earlier this year that they would be back in 2019 with a new album? Also the Strokes seem to do quite a bit out of the blue so its not as if we should expect anything in advance of any sort of announcement.
Yeh i'm clutching at straws, and i don't plan on stopping.

Looking for a decent second hand 12 man tent for those early morning before bed drinks and smoke

Rumours: The Strokes + The Cure + The Smashing Pumpkins will play Mad Cool'19.
As happy as id be at the prospect of The Strokes playing festivals next summer, i hope its not as Mad Cool. Had a great time last year but the organisation was diabolical.
Was there not another forum last year where an individual from Mad Cool was leaking the acts before any announcements? Is this where this rumour has come from?

Since we're discussing the possibility of Mumford and/or The Cure for Beni, I decided to check past line ups over the last 3-yrs in comparison to RW and Southside/Hurricane fest. Only once in those years have we shared a headliner and that was The Killers who also played RW last year. Just goes to show that despite them being active in Europe, it may not happen at all.
Also, I see Beni has opted for a US solo act, US group/band and UK group/band in each of the past 3 line-ups. That can only mean 2019 will give us Eminem, The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys... right? (if only!).
Can you tell I'm bored this evening?
Somebody mentioned in another thread about The Strokes playing all points east festival next year, so there's a possibility they will be around.
Beni and Glastonbury shared Muse as a headliner in 2016, and the Cure look to be nailed on to play there, so that's another previous pattern that could indicate them to be playing.
Basically anything that hints at either The Strokes or The Cure headlining Beni is good enough for me.

Had a really good time at Best Kept Secret a few years back, extremely chilled vibe though so not the best for a party atmosphere. Open'er is also decent, once again a slightly more laid back and chilled crowd than your typical British festival, but great value for money when you consider the lineup.

Are they even active at the moment? I've lost track of what's going on with them recently
Don’t think so. Didn’t stop me and a mate standing outside Dingwalls for 4 hours though.

As much as I'd love there to be reason to it, probably just cause a bit of money going on
Always a bit too much wishful thinking when it comes to The Strokes.
Saying that 6/4 is a huge drop from what it was.... (here I go again)
-
Any reasoning behind The Strokes odds being dropped on Skybet to 6/4? The Cure and the Strokes on the same lineup would be utopia for me.

Got mine!!! Havent rushed liked that since last Saturday night

You don't find out the bus times until closer to the date. You only get to pick your times from London and Bristol.
Probably wasn’t worded as best as it could of been. I meant does anybody have a rough idea of what time the latest buses were for certain places? For example I was on a 2:00pm bus from Manchester - which I believe was the last - whereas I’m sure somebody said the latest Sheffield bus was midday! Basically, if Sheffield buses stop at midday then I’d probably try for there as there’s less risk of arriving on site late in the day!
Saying this see tickets will inevitably just change the times up again and I’ll end up on site even later than last time!
-
Don't suppose anyone has a list of bus times from each location? Ended up on a late outgoing one from Manchester last year - 2:00PM on the Wednesday i think - so would happily change location if i their latest possible bus was say 10am or something!

Any stages in particular you're interested in? There's quite a few!

I've been sent the times for the town centre stage. Sleaford Mods are Friday and Limp Bizkit Sunday. Maybe you already knew that though, who knows.
I imagine it'll all come out soon.
I usually plan festivals lots but I'm quite looking forward to arriving without really knowing whats going on at my first Boomtown.
Are Gorrilaz on the Saturday? So does this mean that Gorrilaz and Limp Bizkit don't clash like we once thought?
I'm just hoping now that they don't put Enter Shikari up against them.....
