I'm going from Manchester and I agree that it's pricey, but it's worth every penny in my eyes. We got coach tickets in the resale for this year's festival and have travelled on the coach previously and it's always been an absolute breeze (hope I'm not jinxing it). No queues, nobody having to drive home after a five day bender, you can have a kip and it also makes you take less crap. It's just so much easier mate.

Yeah we’ve had coach tickets for the last 3 festivals and we’ve loved being able to go straight from the south east corner onto the bus to sleep! We missed out on coach tickets this year so when we checked out the National Express prices we were a little taken back!

That’s fair enough. Translated the full paragraph, looks like they’re getting rid of the weeks long camping. The broken translation makes it sound like the campsite won’t open til 8am on the Thursday morning.

Oh really? Looks like i should have dug a little deeper - Nice one

    Very well spotted!

Think we’ll get 2 headliners, dates (officially tweeted), and ticket sales all within the next 2 weeks.

The new website was a huge anticlimax so i decided to check out every available link to give me as much excitement as possible!

    Imagine four scenarios

    1) John and Jane (John as lead booker)

    2) Jane and John (Jane as lead booker)

    3) Dave and John (Dave as lead booker)

    4) John and Dave (John as lead booker)

How many of these would be treated as duplicates and which would survive the filter?

I’ve always hated multi choice questions

Read this post as I had the email through from demensions haha. Love international site is great, i'm happy they are changing the dimensions date to earlyish august aswel. I went in 2017 when they had to stop one night due to electrical storms, and I went to unknown fest in 2015 or 2016 and it poured down all week then aswel, so definitely best to avoid Croatia in September.

Im thinking of biting the bullet and buying an early bird now! Would prefer them to release a bit more information on the site as well first but dont think i can complain at 100 euro a ticket....

  6. Dimensions has announced its plans for next year and it looks like the rumours of Portugal were false as the festival is staying within Croatia! Its relocating to Tisno which i'm sure is the same site that Love International Festival is held. Pretty buzzing that its staying in Croatia as the Adriatic coast is one of the most beautiful coastlines i've seen.

Anyone who's been to Love International able to give me a run down of the site itself? Their former location in Pula was one of the best ive seen so hoping for something similar!

  7. Supposedly last year they were doing deals when purchasing 4 coach tickets? Not sure if anyones aware of anything similar this year?

£90 seems a bit steep for a return from Manchester...

  8. Headed up to Strummerville on the final night after a few hours in the temple and loved it. Complete change of vibe and pace. If I remember correctly we were lying down on the floor absolutely drained and then they played coffee and tv (a group favourite) whilst we finished all we had left.

it was an unreal end to a special 5 days, planning on the same this year

System Of A Down - Their Europe tour dates have a nice Glastonbury Window. Could see them as a potential for the Other Stage

Didn’t Emily make a comment last year about how the Friday rock slot was having a year off but was returning for the 50th with a band already booked?

Not sure what type of calibre act they could get - Or what Calibre SOAD are - but they could be in with a shout?

It feels good to be back amongst the efestivals rumour madness. I've missed it over the past few years. I'm sure those who also missed out for 2019 tickets agree.

For the last few weeks ive avoided this thread just incase i was ticketless post sale, but after a successful Sunday It feels fantastic to be able to view this thread knowing ill be back.

Cant begin to imagine how good it must feel after a year away!

Same gate but I believe a slightly different queue to the see coaches

Ahh okay. Is it usually a shorter queue than general though? Debating getting a midnight bus from Manchester that’s gets us to the festival for 6am, so want to make sure that it won’t be a long queue after what I can imagine would be a rather laborious bus journey

  12. Last year we were on the 08:00am 'bus' from Manchester. I use the word bus loosely as when it arrived nearly everyone who was waiting cracked off a laugh and a joke about the state of it. There were even a few people who were adamant it wasn't out bus as no one would be daft enough to contact that thing out for the day.

Long story short, it was our bus, and it got us about 50 miles away from Glastonbury before breaking down in the middle of nowhere. After two hours of waiting for a replacement bus we decided to book a taxi which set us back £150.

Wasnt happy, but we got there eventually. All im going to say is that whoever is in charge of the putting the bus service out to tender needs to take into account these buses need to be able to make a 5hour plus journey in one piece.

Not the most tech-savvy myself and I always opt by doing it manually but also keen to know how the auto-refresh works?

Let's say you set your auto-refresh to the page - (glastonbury.seetickets.com) and that refreshes every few seconds

Once you hit the next page - (glastonbury.seetickets.com/content/extras) does the auto-refresh stop because it's a different page? Or will it continue to refresh because it's still on See's website?

And surely once you get to the /content/extras page it will continue to refresh that page in which you can stop the auto-refresh and go about your business?

Yeah ive never used a auto refresh app before, always stuck to manual refreshing, but this year i've ended up with two laptops so i'm going to give it a go!

I'm under the impression that the page of doom is a loading page which effectively means you are stuck in a loop. Once you get passed this page and break through to the other side, you have removed yourself from this loop and have landed on the magic page. Once on this said page a simple refresh will just re-open the same page and wont kick you back. The auto refresh doesn't stop automatically when you get through, but all you need to do is click 'stop' or whatever the option is.

If you use an extension to auto refresh, how do you stop it refreshing once it gets past the first page?  (assuming you're momentarily diverted by one of the other browser/devices you're using)

Think once you’ve got through all a refresh will do is reload the current page and shouldn’t kick you back?

That's prob because the iPhone had a cookie pointing to a different server than the Mac and was therefore not counted in the same cumulative hit total.   2 devices you'll prob get away with....but the likelihood of problems increases the more devices you use on same connection.

Perfect - will leave my IPhone connected to the wifi then instead of chancing it with the ever unreliable 4G!

Appreciate the in depth analysis on this subject, can remember reading through it last year and being just as worried about exceeding the limit as i am now!

  16. Just decided to test out a few methods for the max 60 refreshes per minute on the current Glastonbury ticket site,  and im pretty sure that having multiple devices hooked up to the same wifi doesn't contribute to the limit. Basically when i've had multiple tabs / windows open on my Macbook, the second one of the tabs / window triggers the page of doom, they all simultaneously land on the page. However, my iPhone, which is also hooked up to the same internet did not, and it continued to allow me to refresh and stay away from the page of doom.

Im no expert on things like this,  but just thought id chuck my 50ps worth in!

  17. Anybody starting to become slightly worried about the lack of news? Only positive i can think of is last year flopped so badly that even if FIB didn't start making any announcements till January they'd still have a good chance of producing a better lineup........
