  1. give her an hour, she has just gone for a run down past there and out towards Pylle. I haven't seen one for a few weeks, certainly none on Saturday when I ran past.
  2. Me and the boss are here, performing running salutations and general praising. We are keeping the faith.

not ground works. That is a general dumping ground / storage area, they are probably moving the pile of spoil and rubble that has been there for ages.
  4. long range forecast for Taunton? not even within 20 miles, out in the flatlands .....
  5. not wishing to split hairs on this but 1. Metcheck doesn't seem to recognise Pilton as a location (although it likes Pilton in Australia). if this is a forecast for BA4 as a district it is about as much use as the proverbial chocolate teapot. The top of the Mendips gets distinctly different (and worse) weather than our hideyhole. 2. The rainfall total of 9.5mm over a week is hardly the feckin apocalypse is it. if anyone is going to use a forecast to reinforce your doom predictions or Saharan temperatures, at least use the right one. @Nal - loving your work as usual
  6. one thing you may want to avoid at the moment is compressive loads, carrying heavy stuff that will compress your spine. That may make getting all your stuff onsite more challenging unless you use a trolley, or find a mate to help.
  7. (Anorak on and zipped up) Ex 32(R) Sqn Raf Hawker Siddley 125. Shuffles off to study Flightradar24
  8. not bonkers at all. I have lived with a displaced disc since 1997, it is all about management. I know when I am doing too much because I get specific signs that it is pressing on the sciatic nerve. I stretch and move constantly, the most uncomfortable thing I do is stand still for long periods. Learn to understand what your back and body is telling you, take it easier than before but don't stop anything. The worst you can do is stop life as you live it, don't over react. Personally, exercise is key. I run a lot and avoid any twisty exercise (I am also getting old).

    25 MW (MegaWatts) = 25,000,000 Watts. Power (Watts) = Current x Voltage 25,000,000 = 104,166.66 Amps x 240 Volts. That equals about 8,012 domestic 13 Amp plugs. you're welcome
  10. as I remember it, they came onstage during the usual left vs right bottle chucking between acts and then stomped off. When coming back they told the crowd not to chuck stuff, which in hindsight was probably the wrong thing to say at Reading.

You would be surprised at the levels of activity. They were building the Temple at 0600 yesterday when I ran past. There was a lot of vehicle activity even at that time. Nice day here today.
  12. To try to be helpful rather than dick waving about the perceived issues with bags or not - on occasion when carrying a DLSR and lenses etc I use a canvas messenger bag. It is pretty waterproof, three compartments that will take 2 DLSR and a couple of lenses, a few tinnies and any other crap needed. It is expandable by undoing a zip and will also take a light jacket or top. It is easy to move in crowds, sling behind your back if in the pit, or keep out of the way. Hope that helps.

There is now security on Red gate. Assume there will be on others.

usually most of the East side from around Joe Rush's to past the end of the Railway, round the corner and to the back of Dragon Field, where the webcam can see it. Probably a mile. They tend to put the fence up and do the gates later. Eve / Live / Sunbelt subcontract a lot of the work actually erecting it, some of it depends on the crew.

The blue trailers by the Pyramid belong to Serious. They are dragged onsite by Serious with staging on. The staging and kit incorporates lots of post pallets, packing dunnage etc. The kit is forked off into the piles you can see on the other side of the track. When the post pallets and dunnage etc are finished with and empty, they are loaded back onto the trailers so Serious can remove them from site. Down by Red gate is an area where inload is coming to. Trailers are dropped there and dragged on if the tractor unit doesn't stay which is usually stuff owned by the Festival, some bring loads straight on (the one behind the Pyramid followed us down the track yesterday). Fence and trackway is only moved by Sunbelt or their contractors. The fence starts up around the East side. The last part is always Village side.
