  1. Thanks @sparkythetortoise. Interesting The Mission are on early doors on Friday.
  2. Guessing The Mission must be the Thursday night act, delighted they're back. Very typical Bearded line-up, don't think there's anyone I'm excited to see that I haven't already seen at the festival. Interesting that that is only The Pallet, still the sub headliners to come... yeah. Happy.
  3. Glad I didn't disappoint. They are shit though, aren't they? That Insomnia one, fuck me. It was on the radio the other day, shite.
  4. I fucking hate Faithless. Not sure why I had to share that but there you go.
  5. Yeah, two and a half years is a long time. There'll be relationships broken down, new jobs, losing jobs, deaths even. I think it will be a bigger than usual resale. But like @mcshed says, demand will be up. I'll be after a ticket for my son who was 15 when we got tickets in 2019 and would have exams around the time of the festival, he'll be 18 by the next festival and in the break before starting Uni.
  6. All we normally have to look forward to in September is the ticket sale date confirmation, though we have a very good idea when it will be. We won't even have that this year. Ticket Sales Announced 2009: 30th July 2010: 17th September 2011: 1st September 2013: 20th June 2014: 16th September 2015: 15th September 2016: 18th September 2017: 12th September 2019: 17th September 2020: 17th September 2021: 25 August (confirmed no October sale) 2022: 21 January (when 21 fest cancelled, FAQ included note that resale for 2022 would be April 22)

  8. Ace. 🎶 Just give me one more night, back at Shakespeare Road Drinking Irish whiskey, in that dirty shit hole🎵 I only ever listen to them in the run up to Bearded but always good fun.
  9. Exciting times. Wonder if the website is wrong, that has the release as 4th September but their tweet today said "in 2 days". Normally 7pm on a Friday for any Bearded stuff so I'm thinking it will be then.
  10. New Elbow album out 19th November. https://shop.elbow.co.uk/
  11. That Lager Lager song was on the radio yesterday. Always disappointing how it starts off promising and quickly turns to shit.

  13. It really is all just white men with guitars for you isn't it? Sexist. That's what you are. Probably racist too. Possibly ageist. Definitely alpacaist. Suspicion of trappist.

    First Gig Back

Circus Junkie Rebels. 1st off there's the name. 3 random stereotypical, genre specific names apparently pulled out of a hat and thrown together. In addition to the 2 guitarists, the singer also played guitar. That's fine, but he also took about 70% of the solos, resulting in (and I can't believe I'm saying this) a surplus of guitars. The rhythm guitarist' lead was too short, he couldn't go far but kept trying so it kept falling out. The drummer seemed to be playing a different song to the rest of them. If they'd known the bassist for more than 20 minutes, I'd be amazed. The lead guitarist had tremendous hair, I'll give him that, he looked very bored. Then there's the singer. Clearly his band, he thought he sounded like Robert Plant (evidenced by their stab at covering Whole Lotta Love) but sounded more like a crap Phil Lewis. Vocals were way too high in the mix and his high notes cutting through like a sick cat screaming through a megaphone. Apart from that, they were fine.
