  1. Definitely carrying on, I just had a presale code emailed through for a new LA date.
  2. Bugger, that's over Bearded weekend, I'd have been up for that.
  3. I watched Elbow and got round to The Other and (I think) he was just starting. I'm placing him as Pyramid headliner. Yeah, I know but I'd be happy. We've spoken on here about how people can come back to more excitement because they've been away for so long. It would be one hell of a gamble for the festival but I'd imagine his album (there must be one) will do really well. More realisticly I'd see him as Pymild sub or Other headliner.
  4. Paolo, Macca & someone I'm not arsed about is the dream for me. So any of Matt's "3 we all want" can fill that final slot.

  6. Well that makes sense. Not as good as they used to be is a valid reason. Well yeah, I've seen bands be alright first time, brilliant second, shite third and then good again (hello The Damned) but not bothering only because they were really good the last time is odd. There's always a chance they'll never top the last time but you've got to try if you still like the band, right?
  7. The "I don't want to watch them cos they were really good last time" is one of the most bizarre reasons not to go see a band. Not getting at you @gigpusher(though I am a bit) as I've seen it posted quite a bit. I'm never having steak again as it will never be as good as that time I had it in that restaurant.

  10. The only thing that can make this better is of they already had tickets from the original sale and forgot about them.
  11. I'd like to say something dismissive about Drake but I've no idea what he sounds like. I reckon Keaveny will crop up on Virgin or Absolute.

  14. The new War of The Worlds finished last week. Decent conclusion I thought, enjoyed the show in general, gave off a significant amount of the rebooted Battlestar Galactic vibes if not up to the same standard. Did anyone else watch it?
  15. Have they played Glastonbury since 2010 when they headlined JP? I can't remember seeing them on the line-up. They were pretty good that night.

  17. What I cut off at the end is "it" as in he's looking forward to playing it but he possibly meant looking forward to playing Live Forever rather than looking forward to playing Glastonbury. Still... it sounds very likely if not 100%. I reckon he's been asked.

  19. Coincidentally, I'm employed as an analyst.
  20. There's far too much anal talk in this thread for my liking.
  21. There's the Tour Announcements and Upcoming Gigs thread for other stuff.
  22. Without rules there is chaos. I do think this thread should be tours that make an act at least a possibility of playing Glastonbury or even ruling them out if they're touring the US at the time. There's a hint of excitement when there's a new post in here. Click in to see who's about that could be pencilled in only to find out Billy and The Bollocks are touring in May. Disappointment abounds.
