Sawdusty surfer
Just spoken to someone onsite who is a core infrastructure bod....It's off Down to noise constraints but the organisers 'hope' to have the event later in the year. 5co77ie
Sunrise will be making a public statement later on today. The racecourse at the 11th hour placed unworkable noiserestrictions on them that meant they are unable hold the event.

5co77ie
Organisers have issued a statement saying, "It is with great sadness that we must tell you that Sunrise is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, and it is only after being placed in a position where we could not produce the festival we had promised that we have made this decision. We’re deeply in shock about this, as I'm sure you all are and we apologise it's taken us until this afternoon to make this announcement. We've been told at the eleventh hour by the powers that be that we can’t run our main stage and dance stage above a level much louder than you would find in a library offsite, after 11 o'clock with unclear assurance that we would even be okay before that. We’ve tried every which way to get round this. We can’t. So with deepest regret we’ve had to cancel. Please visit the Bristol Ticket Shop page here for more information on what has happened and what to do next as we are in the process of setting up some great ticket deals with other events that you might be interested in: http://www.bristolticketshop.co.uk/eventdetails.aspx?e=6294This will be updated throughout the day so stay tuned. If you have bought tickets from other tickets agents they will be in touch with you later on this afternoon to explain what you need to do next. We are so incredibly sorry that this has happened but in all conscience could not have opened the gates to you to a festival with the threat of immediate closure hanging over our heads- these are strange times we live in. We'll stay in touch and try and answer as many questions as we can over the coming weeks. Thank you for buying our tickets and we are deeply sorry we couldn't give you a Sunrise to be proud of this year. The Sunrise Team xxx PS Everyone who has bought a ticket will absolutely be entitled to a refund!.." Edited May 14, 2015 by 5co77ie
