Bit disappointed tbh, there's still no bands on the Friday I'm that keen to see, a few I'll check out, but no bands I'm twitching to see, disappointed with Steel Panther as well, albeit having come to expect it.

Sunday though.... Kyuss, Lamb of God, Soundgarden, Sabbath? Fuck me that's awesome.

To be honest, good, as they are a poor mans AIC.

There's a thought, put AIC on supporting slash

A poor man's AIC is still better than most other bands!

It's made me half tempted to go, having said I wouldn't.

Possible deal clinchers for me... Kyuss, Soundgarden, Sabbath, Ugly Kid Joe.

Other bands that help my decision... Machine Head, Steel Panther, Biffy, Metallica, Terrorvision, BLS, Slash

Slash, rise against , steel panther, black label society. Billy talent. Five finger death punch. Kyuss luves. Terrorvision. As I lay dying. Megadeth. Fear factory. Peripherey . Ginger wildheart. Reckless love.

reasonably happy with that.

Yep, me too. There's enough there for me to reach for my credit cards.

Nice to see BLS, I know Megadeth have played sooo many times but always good to see 'em etc etc

Pleased to see a good alternative to Prodigy

Would like to see a Within Tempation or similar added, to keep the Mrs happy !

Anyway looks like I'll be going, sorry WE'll be going.

Having BLS there surely means if Tony Iommi can't make it due to his illness then Zakk steps upto the plate

AIC, even without layne, are surely bigger than solo Slash?

Surely?

I thought this too.

CANNOT wait to see BLS. Was gutted they didnt play last year when they were in Europe at the time, but as Copping already had Sabbath booked then guessing he had a plan.

Sunday Main Stage is just so good, I can't get over how happy I am with the line up

Gutted that Slash is clashing with The Prodigy. I have missed Prodigy twice at festivals because of clashes. Looks like I'm going to have to do half and half this year. Both are too good to miss.

I on the other hand am chuffed to bits that they clash, i think it was 2009 i saw them 6 times in a year.

Close one, but i think Slash edges it with his cult status and legendary GNR's tunes and with Miles they make a great team, i would much rather listen to Slash/Miles for 2 hours than Axl and friends any day.

Does he have rights to GnR songs?

And I'd rather see Izzy than Axl or Slash.

And AIC over any of them.

The setlist when he played in 2010 was:

Ghost
Back From Cali
Nightrain
Rocket Queen
Starlight
By The Sword
Sweet Child O' Mine
Doctor Alibi
Slither
Paradise City

So yes, he does and they're performed waaay better than Axl is capable of these days... and also Velvet Revolver song(s). ;)

Yeah Slash plays GNR songs

and @Neil above 2009 was a bad year to see Prodigy 6 times, they didn't change their setlist hardly whatsoever, got boring.

Andy has cleared up whats left on main

1 act for Sunday = 9 acts
2 acts for Saturday = 8 acts
and I pressume we'll be getting the standard 8 on Friday too, its opening at 1pm as usual

Do you need permission to sing songs live? or is it only if you want to record them?

As for the Prodigy 6 times in a year just counted it was actually 5, Didn't remember too much about Download for some strange reason i always seem to be drunkest Friday night

Better than Axl doesn't surprise me. And Velvet Revolver songs don't interest me. I'll check him out unless the Prodigy turn out to be spectacular.

Yep. There are a number of splits where part of the issue is that only one member maintains the rights to perform a band's songs. Don't know how it works.
