DaveMac
Not only would that be epic but it would just about top my entire Glastonbury festival experience off. I have just returned from a visit to my mum and unearthed by 1988 Broadway the Hard way tour programme. It would be fantastic to see Dweezil and the band at Glastonbury and I am sure he would do his Dad proud.
Ricochet
Yep welcome back Strudders. Wondered why you hadnt been around. Hope everything is ok. Seeing Dweezil & Co would take me back to my first festival. (or was it the second? yes the second) Edited March 14, 2009 by Ricochet
strudders
Cheers guys, all OK been "on tour" I have just seen Dweezil got a Grammy! However I have not heard his version yet of Peaches en Regalia. Has anybody got it?
denwyn
Hmmm.....I don't see any point in this at all, having seen the great man himself many years ago at the old Free Trade Hall in Manchester, i can't see why his son wants to be what is more or less a tribute band... Mardy
Because some of us were not born or were too young to see the great man when he was alive. It's great for you that you have seem him, but some of us never got the privilage and this is the next best thing. I can understand that you wouldn't want to see this, but surely you should be happy that his music and legacy is still living on and his music is still relevant today. denwyn
Same here but I think the fact they are keeping the music alive, with some vigour, makes it more appealing and possibly accessible to some who have not seen it live. When I saw Zappa it was not in his hay day. However I still feel very privileged to have done so. The fact Dweezil is playing some of the more obscure tracks and playing them quite well makes it very much a tribute. Because lets face it that is what it is and he markets it that way. However I doubt he will come to Glasto. Edited March 15, 2009 by denwyn
