    Glastocam!

Went for a run at oh my god o'clock before it warmed up. Went round Pylle and the loop back up Cockmills Lane by the east side of site. East CV fields have the majority of the green outside fencing up and they will complete in the next day or so. Poles are in marking tracks, no trackway down. Vodafone are chucking up a lot of very big masts around the perimeter. Huge one by the Temple, Gate 3a. 2 huge ones in the CV east field with very audible generators running. The fence is complete and gates shut from Mary's gate right round the east. They are finishing the section from Tesco / Tresco / Matthews gate (keeps changing name) to Marys and is almost complete apart from the section you can see on webcam. All the signs are going out along the route from the A37, posh git camping signs etc. Mist posh camping setting up, Love fields marked out ready, Tangerine fields building, all the rest started apart from the top of Cockmills hill which will be last minute. Whitelake River at the Ford is down, not quite low enough to mince across in trainers and keep dry feet but close.
  2. Please Note @Deebeedoobee is now on site working at short notice, leaving me to hold the fort. As the rubbish we put up has always been a joint effort you will get the same random bollocks, just posted by me instead. You won’t notice the difference. “Sometimes I feel lost” Said the Diver, “Me too” said the Cow, “But there is a handy map in the programme and lots of signs to show you the way” Temperature at 8.52 am is 14.8 C and humidity is 73%. Rainfall in last 24 hours is 0mm. The Ram Jam Jar has a cobweb, some little fecker has claimed squatters rights and the council are not helping. Water table height in the well is 0mm. Diver has decided to see if there is a part time job on the build crew. Not sure he has done his site induction yet. I have decided that you don't need to see a picture of my dry hole on a Sunday. Pilton Pat indicates a light breeze towards Red Gate. Cloud 0/8 . Nice shade of blue, Dulux Sea blue at as guess, I wouldn't paint my house with it though. Pokey Twins read no.1 on the moist-o-meter. Dry, dry, dry. Not fitting the Nal’s narrative so far but he lives in hope. (Loving his work as always in the sciencey thread.) Haiku Alone break of day Deebeedoobee is painting enjoying the bins
  3. interesting take, beat you at what?
  4. Gamblers fallacy in action. To borrow a phrase - there is no pattern. Also see - conditional probability
  5. Don't tell the weirdos in the science thread as there may be trouser eruptions, but we are told that: 1. The Festivals own met people predict a blip before gates but a dry festival. Also, in contrast 2. Michael thinks it will be wet. Which proves science is as accurate as a dog, buzzards and rabbit scut.
  6. We can't really go round the perimeter as such but will be running down / up Cockmills Lane and around Pylle and East Pennard. I am going round Pylle and the Loop round to Cockmills tommorrow to see what is going on with posh w*nker camping and cv fields.
  7. we always appreciate people doing that, its all really for your convenience. You do You. hopefully people will be along soon with suggestions about not following the designated feckin routes and trying to cut across back roads to make their life easier. That goes down a storm with people trying to get to work / school or having a life.
  8. I refer you to the post above. From the bloke that is building it.
  9. There will be a bar with small stage, essentially Bar on The Green. There was going to be an events space, but now not this year.

in a straight line it is no more than 150 yards
  11. Thanks mate, we get it.
  12. bit sciencey for my liking
  13. we worked in a thread started by @Funkyfairy!last year - How is the ground on site ? in case you didn't know, Big Dog got mentions but he sadly shuffled off previously.
  14. yes, the jazz covers were something else. Seem to remember being very drunk in there one year and getting very confused why I was surrounded by Russian sailors cossack dancing. we spent the next morning trying to work out if it was real or not..
  15. Sas don't know if you made it last year but last time we saw you at Boomtown, it was at the top of Old Town just past the Irish Bar. Properly good entertainment.
  16. Pale Blue Eyes self confirmed on Marc Riley, 6 Music last night. Playing 23rd.

Get that and thanks. It wasn't you casually dismissing the local populace. Out

"The locals", us poor simple folk that get scared by such sophisticated things like machinery, didn't give a feck. The posh Audi w*nkers were the shouting and overly entitled idiots. Never sure why anyone who lives local to the site is referenced dismissively by others.
  20. are you going to decide and vet who is a true Glastonbury goer, or will there be a committee?
  21. blown out of proportion is the way of t'internet. I went out of the door for a run about 1500 and it was starting to rain. After a mile it was heavy but not torrential, and continued like that for the next 45 minutes. Couldn't see the farm from the ridge but that is not unusual when it rains. I was coming in the door very wet when it eased off. After that it rained a bit for the rest of the day. Hardly the apocalypse, but from miles away it may have seemed to be the prelude to a new Atlantis. Weather happens every day. Wear a coat.
  22. Just back from Otoboke Beaver supported by Drinking Boys and Girls Choir. Both great, huge fun.
