To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering, one must not love. But, then one suffers from not loving. Therefore, to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer, to suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love, to be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy, therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness — I hope you're getting this down.

I couldn't do all that dating shit these days I don't think. If I meet someone I like and they seem to like me then I'll obviously persue it but thinking back to the times when I was having to fire blokes off after a few dates when they started to annoy me, it wasn't so very pleasant. I'm much more relaxed these days, and it means I get to spend a lot more time doing the things I want, rather than having to make my excuses or get all dressed up when as the time came I really felt I couldnt actually be arsed with the whole thing :)

Am I selfish?

Meh, bit of yer catholic mass there, pay it no great heed m'dear! B)

You won't though will you - you're a caring type aren't you? :)

Look - you need to put yourself first some of the time, not always, but some of the time. Lurve, as I understand it, is a game of give and take (like in the poptastic 60s tune "you can't hurry love!") and ideally there's some balance. In the past you probably gave too much and didn't take enough, and you may now overcompensate, and take too much without giving enough - but I'm sure it'll all go well enough in the medium term for ya :O

My ex was asking if i was going to come round to his tonight - i said i doubt it as i've got belly dancing then i have to do some washing.

Then i said i probably wouldnt be great company anyway cus i'm not in a great mood.

He said 'i can tell' did he bother to ask why i'm in a bad mood? no!

bastard bastard men - yet another reason why we split up and i shouldnt go back. He doesnt care about me just about getting his end away. grrr

edit* he did just ask me why i was a moody c**t! how nice!

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
