A 45 year old man asked me if he could join me in bed last night just to cuddle up. I'm not naive enough to believe a single 45 year old man would really want to do just that with a single 27 year old woman so I told him to get knotted ;)

I have the horrible situation of having arranged to meet someone on Wednesday, and tonight learning that my mother is going to meet a friend in the same place I'm meeting this girl. Will need to come up with a good plan soon.

;)

My exact words (at 5am) were........'right, f**k this, I'm going to bed now, you guys can crash if you like, just make sure the cats are shut in the kitchen so they don't kill the budgie' :O

When he proceeded to ask if he could join me, I eventually just said I was going to bed, alone, and that was that.

Hey everyone!

Well I went speed dating last night thinking it would lead somewhere...as yet have logged into the site to check if anyones ticked me, so far 5 girls out of 22 that were there have made their choices and unfortunately not 1 ticked me....shame as they were nice!

am getting worried I will get 22 non ticks..... :)

Was funny as well as my work colleague I went with got a tad drunk and spilt his drink over one of the most attractive girls in the room!!! :):P

Maybe he will get a tick for that faux pas??

:)

I was signed up to a dating site for a while and I was getting a bit miffed because I'd had nothing, no sign of any interest in me. I did a very broad search being very non-specific and I didnt find a single woman I liked which cheered me up no end. Not too bothered about women I'm not interested in not being interested in me. :P

Can I join the single club?

Back to the drunken texts, I split from my ex husband 8 years ago, very amicably and both decided it was time to move on, I have no intentions of ever getting back with him but even though we have never contacted each other for at least 6 years and I don't have any means of contacting him anymore, I still get the urge (when drunk) to text and say hey remember me, think it is a girl think about making sure people dont forget.

i am single becasue I don't have that natural ownership bunny boiler gene that my girlfriends have, making boys (sorry men, how pervy did that sound) need them and feeling that them going to the pub with their friends is a personal attack on your whole being as a women and needing the conservatory, if I want a conservatory i will go and get one myself and did. But do men secretly need to be the one that goes and provides the conservatory?

Too much wine whilst making dinner I think

    • There's only one date that's not pretty much sold out 😂
    • Madonna lived in the UK for absolutely ages and I think is still largely London-based at the moment.  I'm sure she'll be well aware.     But it wouldn't need to be either / or.  Lots of acts do both  - Glastonbury for the hype and BST for the pay.
    • There is a chance that Norton's reaction was very much like our reaction, because people in this country tend to think 'big = Glastonbury'.   Having said that, though, I'm fairly sure they've gone for her again this time, and it's broken down. Whether it's only just broken down or not, I'm not sure, but I'd air on the side of - they thought they had her, up to a certain point.
    • Yeah, I did wonder if they might be getting too big for Piece Hall now. Wet Leg did Castlefield this year and were subbing them at Tramlines. Wishful thinking! I'd happily see them do another outdoor headline in the north of England, wherever it might be (except R+L, which I'm def too old for now 😂)
    • You've certainly got a bunch of American acts who absolutely adore the festival and are willing to bring peanuts for it. You can never discount The Killers on that basis.
