i know hogan's not exactly in the prime of his career, but he can definitely pull in viewers. i havent watched wrestling for years and im now interested in watching his return. this is going to benefit tna massively.

Some more thoughts on the TNA/Hogan thing.

As Halycon says, Hogan has no money. However, Bischoff and Jason Hervey do have money. But thinking about it, TNA has basically been a bonfire for money for 7 1/2 years not, so its not like Dixie and Bob are running short of a few dollars. I dont know what the arrangement is, although I presume its some kind of talent agreement where Bischoffs company 'loan' their talent to TNA in exchange for a share of the profits.

As for Hogan. Well, I say with soem certainty that its not going to last long, nor is it going to have a happy ending. I dont see how, in the long term, this helps TNA. Sure, he brings awareness and interest, but so have people like Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Tito Ortiz, Booker T, Christian (admittedly on a lower level) and its ultimately meant jack shit in the long run. The ratings, PPV buy rates etc havent moved significantly in years. Once the novelty of Hogan has wore off, what difference is he going to make?

At the end of the day, you can have Hogan, you can have Flair, and you can have a slot on BBC 1 at 8pm on a Thursday night, but if you are presenting a shit tv show then people will switch off. Hogan was all over WCW in 99 and 2000 (until July, anyway) and look what happened then.

Bubba, Hogans mate has said that Hogan has been signed as booker of TNA.

This HAS to be bullshit, there is now way that they would bring Hogan in as a booker, what would be the point in that?

He's just there to attract awareness to TNA, which he will do. At least in the short term. I dunno what to think really but the world of wrestling needs a shake up, Im willing TNA on to start a new war with WWE because that was when the fans got the best product.

The news today is that TNA are planning with Bischoff to make a TNA show on Mondays nights to go up against Raw, and keep Impact, and really this NEEDS to happen, because up until Nitro was born, WCW was nothing. TNA will not progress on a Thursday timeslot, at least not yet. Monday is know as wrestling night, it has been for over 10 years now, if an impact is to be made, thats how to do it

TNA have probably got about 2 weeks to make something of their new recruits. People who can't stand it (me) will watch it for a few weeks on the back of this, if it is utter shit (probably will be) then they won't bother watching again.

If Hogan tours over here, then they might actually avoid making a huge loss on every single ticket like they do at the moment.

Don't see how it can be a bad thing for them, they've just been treading water, nobody cares about it. They can't sell anymore ppv's, can't get anymore viewers, can't sell anymore tickets. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Liam, how much have they managed to lose in 7 years? Must be millions, everything they do seems to lose money.

The thing is with Hogan, he aint going to be coming over here to do house shows, the same way he isnt going to do the house shows in America, or Canada. Thats not the way Hulk does business.

As for money, no one really knows the most accurate figure. But most estimates range in the $50 million range.

Who on earth would choose to watch a pre-recorded show over a live show?

I can see the point that people might flick off from WWE over to TNA when something they didn't want to see came on, but I can't see the logic of putting on a pre-recorded show to go against a live show. People just won't watch it.

And i completely agree with lithium, ozzy can get away with it. Sharon osbourne doing the the dx pose though and the suck it line made me shudder and felt like the kid inside of me that still likes wrestling took a swift kick to the jewels. I found her funnty when they tormented their neighbours in the osbournes, but one thing's for sure, in order for humanity to survive, sharon osbourne must be killed/ mamed/ raped/ slaughtered/ preferrably all of the above at once
