Couldn't agree more, the White Stripes have been pretty dire live when I have seen them, whereas Coldplay have put on a great show, but then both times I've seen them were at Glasto and I was in a happy place anyway.

Bed, lying, your own, made - just a few random words that spring to mind.

All very true, until you bring the Beatles into play in the old 'overated' way of things.

Coldplay are never cited as the greatest band of all time, now are they?

Pearl Jam..................................MINT!

The greatest live band on earth that I've followed for 14 years is about to arrive on these shores and blow away a series of bands and then take it to Paris.

;):P:blink:

Well, I have to disagree with you - they really did put on a fantastic show at Glastonbury, even though I expected it to be awful. I certainly enjoyed it far more than the White Stripes' set, which I was looking forward to.

As far as "bad taste" goes, I am by no means a fan of Coldplay, it's really not my thing. But I don't think someone who likes them necessarily has bad taste, I can see their appeal, it just doesn't do it for me.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
