That's great news! I was just messaging one of our gang saying that it was all going to be fine, but that I thought that leaving the issuing of digital tickets to just one week prior to the Settlers taking up residence was a bit shoddy!

Not long now, team.

Ben

Yeah totally agree. Specially for punters like me bought via resale. I’ll have no fingers let alone nails by next week.

The letter with the parking pass confirms that the actual festival tickets will be emailed on the 10th August.

Is it still possible to buy orange car park tickets or is it a just on the day job? Travel plans have changed which means we will be driving down from Nottingham.

They look to be, only ordered ours a few days ago. Go to the Greenman website and under tickets you'll find the option to get an Orange car park ticket.

We haven't got our settlement car park pass yet either. Seems odd if they're sending out the Orange car park passes before the Settlement ones. We've got a pre-Green Man Settlement holiday in Wales and it's getting pretty tight now for our car park pass to arrive in the post before we leave home.....

mine didn’t arrive before i left for wales last year - tickersellers just refunded me the cost after I emailed and I had to get one on the door. [to be fair to ticketsellers, the refund came through pretty quickly]

I would be surprised if they don't, given 2022 was the twentieth I imagine next year is going to be pushed as the 25th anniversary so having the most local big name artist possible headline seems natural. Maybe SFA are being saved for then too?

SFA next year was my thinking too, they seem to be doing every other festival bar GM this year which seems odd, so I suspected it would either be a secret SFA headliner this year or something big for 2027. We'll see though!

So who's got a good rain dance in the locker, then? Now we're in August the weather watchers can come out of hiding.

Already having flashbacks to last year (the dust cloud of doom at the crossroads by the Courtyard entrance).

Also got to be looking sketchy for the fire/fireworks on the Sunday. Might be a controversial opinion but wouldn't mind it - the fencing annoyance isn't worth the 10 mins of 'oooohhh, aaahhhh', plus the raining of hot embers last year!

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they're advised not to do the fire/fireworks this year, I live in Crickhowell and we've had maybe 10 minutes of rain in total in the past couple of months, there've been a couple of big fires in the area (one peat fire above Blaenavon will be burning underground for quite some time yet) and all eyes will be on GM. Fingers crossed we get a good soaking next week 😁

Nothing come over early this week? We had a good hosing about 45 mins down the road just North of Cardiff - was hoping it tracked up into the hills a bit.

Although now looks dry as a particularly dry bone as far as reliable forecasting goes. So not hopeful we get at least some greenery back.

We got a few spits and spots overnight on Tuesday, not much of anything though, though I did smile when I opened my curtains and saw an honest to goodness puddle! 😆

But who knows? The Glanusk estate is such a weird little micro-micro climate maybe it absolutely hooned it down there!

I know during one recent really warm summer (2022?) GM let it be known in advance that the burning might not happen because of ground conditions though in the end it did, but it's odd in that case that they haven't said similar. But then there's been a few odd things lately between the barcode date being put back and that two weeks out they've as yet announced nothing for Talking Shop.

Quick question  from a first timer at GM, my partner prefers a quieter field to camp 😀🙈 ...any recommendations which part of site to pitch up?

Thanks

This is the map from the programme last year... you an see there's a quie camping sextion at the top left of the camping fields. But from my experience I wouldn't say that there was any particularly loud section of campign and has always been fine.

I would agree. I have always camped in general and found it fairly quiet. I was tempted to go in quiet camping this year as it’s closer to the car park, but I think I’ll probably end up in general again.

I only camped in quiet camping once, it was the noisiest bit I've ever experienced! 🤣I think the problem is it's the first bit of the site you walk into and lots of people just dump themselves there! We camp in the top right of that map and find it pretty quiet, family/settlers' camping is very quiet apart from crying babies 😆
