Note 1981 – Ginger Baker showed up when Roy Harper was on stage and there was
a big argument - anyway when Ginger Baker started playing ## someone tossed up { there was no security at the front { and the stage was a lot lower then } } a bottle straight onto his head ## - its claimed he was taken to hospital - cant confirm that part but I did see the bottle fly though the air { it did not break !!! when it hit his head } as I was close to the front { big  Roy Harper fan } - anyway Ginger Baker played another day.

No I am not - I am in the same situation as last year {My HA Tower block was decommissioned and its sister Tower Block is also closing { roughly 400 flats }} so I could be moved at any time although impossible to know when or it could drag on until next year. All my Camping gear is packed away so until I get this move out the way I wont be going to any festival. Very annoying as its a nice flat { and they changed the kitchen and bathroom a few years ago }

They've made the usual mistake, regarding 80's Glasto line-ups, of presuming the headliners are those on the top line of the posters - which was often not the case.

 

The 1983 headliners were Melanie, UB40 and King Sunny Ade

1984 - Dr John, Elvis Costello, Fela Kuti

1985 - Joe Cocker, Ian Dury, Hugh Masekela

1986 - Psychedelic Furs, The Cure, Gil Scott-Heron

1987 - New Order, Elvis Costello, Taj Mahal

1989 - Suzanne Vega, Elvis Costello, Fela Kuti

1990 - Happy Mondays, The Cure, Ladysmith Black Mambazo

I live in Edmonton Green and Enfield Council has been closing lots of Tower Blocks so that puts a lot more pressure on the allocation system - The Bloody annoying thing is ' there is plans to build more Tower Blocks ' but they wont be ready in time. Just Sods law.

 

well lots of friends are already on site {workers} so I have been winding them up by sending photos of my Fridge !! -  have a good one
