Watch me smack his food on the floor.

After all, personal space is a courtesy, not a requirement 👀

Ooh, look at the scary man getting wound up at a scenario that won’t actually happen to him. Get a grip. Enjoy your queue.

Who’s getting wound up here? Obviously not going to happen, but 1000% if someone pushes in front of a massive queue I’m gonna make a scene of them. No tolerance for c**ty behaviour I’m afraid

Ahh well. I’m not too bothered about 20,000 strangers I’ll never interact with. At worst, they’ll be inconvenienced for a couple of minutes. It’s like when there’s a massive queue to have a poo. If I’m in the queue for a poo, it’s because I’m genuinely about to poo myself because I have a sh*t bowel (literally). So I’m not queuing, I’m walking to the front to find the closest free portaloo because I will poo myself. Others would do the same if they felt like it.

I live a good, wholesome life and if the worst of my crimes is cutting a queue to get some chips or have a poo a couple of times year, I’m doing alright.

Quite frankly if you're that bad going to the toilet then get yourself a disabled pass that allows access to disabled toilets. I'd you've got it on record then the doctor will supply you with one. Where you day others....others would just get themselves that pass rather than pushing past other people genuinely queuing.

Just for information as well, if you choose to go and get food when there are lots queues then it is a required and you are no more entitled than anyone else. To be fair if you skip the food you might not need the sh*t.

To be honest if there's 2-5 hours worth of queuing I don't blame you, I blame the venue or people queueing stupidly. I remember MCR at MK was a joke for queues. I didn't get a drink of alcohol, food or any water due to the joke of queues. Poor venue planning and management it comes down too. I find toilets at festivals a lot of the time that everyone queues at the front when there are loads of toilets or urinals free towards the back. It's also started happening where people queue at a bar, the queue at a bar is to stand at the bar and then be courteous to the people next to you if you know they were in front, not in one by one queue - it ends up getting in the way doing that. It's weird. I think sometimes it's about common sense with it.

If we are talking about genuine queues of other people waiting for food in line and a drink in line too then pushing in is not okay. Andre is one of the people on here who downvotes all the time for comments he dislikes or things come across as an arse as well so it's just very contradictory and a double standards of behavior.

And just to add, whereas you may potentially soil yourself from not getting to the loo quick enough (that’s fair dinkum) the average human can survive a week without food. I doubt his need to eat is so desperate that it ever calls for pushing to the front lmao.

Yeah, big on downvoting, me. Who has time for that?

Ahh yeah, we can go up to a week without food so let’s not eat all weekend.

Is it pushing in if you ask someone at the front to buy your drinks/food but you'll pay for one of their drinks/food items? I don't think it is.

I doubt I’d even notice and just assume they were friends with that person, so yeah if you’re gonna do it try this tac instead of just jumping in front of someone who’s been waiting ages

ETA: apologies for triple posting

Just get food at a quieter time or go to a quieter stall. I loved that Fish and Chip place but I aren’t standing in a queue of 100 people for it, go somewhere quieter a watch a band ffs 😂

Exactly. You’ll only have a sh*t day if you allow yourself to. You waited 3 hours for a battered sausage? Come on.

This wasn’t really an option for people at SD 23, the queues for all places were 1hr+ until pretty much close. In general I agree.

Slam Dunk 23 sounded like a mess in general, I live 10 mins drive away from Temple Newsam and I was still put off from going this year due to the logistics of taxis, food and pick up last time, plus the obviously high ticket price.

Usually I think people hyperbolise about bad experiences at festivals, but I can safely say it was a complete shambles. Leeds fared better than the south from what I’ve heard, but only marginally.

It’s not a great sign when you’ve got people queuing for 5+ hours to get into the car park for a single day festival.

Worst experience I’ve had was Leeds Fest 2019 when it was 30°C+ all weekend and they ran out of free water at the pumps plus water/soft drinks at the bar. Feeling dehydrated? No problem, here’s a warm Carlsberg. £7 please!

Unfortunately we are talking about the worst run festival in the country.

    • Fantastic news.  Not got our settlement car park pass yet, but this gives me hope that it will arrive soon
    • I think they mentioned it in one and interview that the concept of Passport is one thing that differentiates the Sziget from other festival and encourages to explore the site outside music stuff. I doubt they will get rid of it, they might just be late, like they are with everything else.
