Blue Route from the North

We're travelling down in a camper from Scotland, in the past (2017 last time I think 😞 ) we've stayed at the West Camper, but sadly no more, so heading to East and the Blue Route.  So I'm thinking avoid Bristol at all costs and go down the M5 > A39 > but then where to get over to A37 / East side of site?  Or any other suggestions on route welcome.

19 days to go, I'm feel I'm far too excited for a middle aged bloke 😄

Last year I met a friend in Frome on the Tuesday to park together who had driven down from Aberdeen.  He did the M6, M5, M4 and then cut down past Bath, through Trowbridge and into Frome. He left 11:30am and arrived to meet me at 9pm. From there we convoyed and parked on the East side no problems

Watch out for any routes near Bath, they have a clean air zone that large vehicles pay for. I've skirted Bath and gone in via Frome previously to meet friends and drive in together.

Not just 'large' vehicles....it covers 'some' vans, LGV's, camper vans and 4x4's, whether driven privately or for business.

Best bet for anyone travelling through Bath, and/or Bristol CAZ's is to check your reg and route accordingly.
