Orange Car Park

Third time this year... we drive down from the northwest early Weds morning, arriving on site around lunch. Always end up on the pink car parks which is an absolute trek to Gate D. 

What time would we need to arrive to get parked in the orange car parks?

Nothing to do with time, it's whichever they happen to direct you into - which will be whichever works best for them at that moment.

There's no rule of thumb that earlier = closer or vica versa, and there are times when they'll fill both sides of the road simultaneously in which case it's pure luck of the draw which batch of cars you end up in.

I've driven 4 times and parked in Orange every time, going down late on Tuesday. From memory the earliest I arrived was around 7pm (and think I had to wait until 8 for the carpark to open) and the latest was 3am Wednesday due to queues.
