... not Glastonbury, but Bearded Theory.

Apologies for posting in the Glastonbury forum but I know a lot of you lot go to both festivals.

If you've got tickets you'll know that they've rolled them over to, hopefully, next May. My personal feeling is that festivals next year are looking on very shakey ground. Much that I'd like to leave 100s of pounds in their bank account in the hope that it goes ahead, if it doesn't it may be the end of the festival.

30th is the deadline for requesting a refund, I'm torn between the two options. I paid Eventbrite via credit card, which should give me some protection in the event of the worst, but I believe they are just a middle man and the money lands in Bearded's account.

Any thoughts?

I totally agree mate, that's why I haven't requested a refund so far. I would hate to see Bearded Theory, or any festival for that matter, go to the wall. Like you say, paying by CC should afford you some protection hopefully if it all goes south.

Cheers for the reply.

Plus the money is secure no matter what, they have ensured they have the funds and they have worked hard to ensure everyone will be 100% refunded if it doesn't look like it will go ahead as the funds are secured in escrow. This has been said in public several times by the organisers.

Keep the faith, we will be back in the fields in 2021 :)

Thanks, decision made, no refund for me. Not an easy one though, 4 tickets for me the missus and the saucepan lids not cheap, but like you say, faith must be kept.

Plus, they're the friendliest festival and had the best lineup of any UK festival in 2020 imho. Come on Primal Scream, sign up for 2021.

Long live Bearded!

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
