Booze for the campsite

Hey, this will be my first Glasto. Was wondering if there was any place on or near the festival grounds which would be selling reasonably priced cans of beer for the campsite.

Would rather not have to haul a load of cans there myself!

And just a bit of info incase you didn't know, although there are campsites , they are not separated from the 'arena / stages ', so you can take drinks with you for the day, to the stages etc, so you're not just getting drinks for the campsite, you can bring them in for all day and night

bring spirits as well (decanted into plastic bottles ) , mix them then with bottles of soft drinks etc from the food stalls ,,,,

enjoy your first glastonbury

There is also the option of getting a shuttle bus into Glastonbury town or Shepton Mallet and buying brewskies from the supermarket there.  It is not nearby, so will take a couple hours of your day, but if done on the Thursday or early morning, can be done without missing too much.  I usually do the Thursday, and then Saturday morning if I have been especially 'thirsty'.

It is normally about £4.50 a pint of Cider if I remember right.

Whilst I can advocate that this is massively unreasonable and it i is much more cost effective to bring along your own cans... There is nothing quite like a refreshingly cold cider on the Sunday, after having 4 days of warm Fosters!

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
