Saw them for the first time, last night at the Olympic Stadium.

They were fucking incredible.

Without question they should be headliners and there is clearly an untold story as to why they have never been.

Well the boys have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Well deserved and about time they got some mainstream recognition. They have been the sound track to my entire life, man and boy.

How does it work? Will Vince Clark and Alan Wilder be inducted along with them and will they be expected to perform alongside them?

Thoughts? I really like it - or is it shit?

Its terrible mate. The original is a true classic, this cover does nothing.

This is pretty good though

How about this one?

Thats Mike Koglin - The Silence. Its a pretty good interpretation.

Enjoy The Silence is my favourite ever record by absolutely anyone so I am always going to be a bit biased. The ironic thing is that it is more New Orderish than New Order. It also rips off Life On My Own by the Human League as well.

Here is an original Martin Gore home demo. It was originally intended to be a mournful ballad. Thank god Alan Wilder and Flood got their way with it.

According to the RNRHOF website, all 5 of them are being inducted, though I'm not sure how that affects any live performances.

It's great that they're being inducted the same year as NIN too.

Finally. Man, these guys being inducted into the Hall is way overdue. Good for NiN too. Can't wait for the 'I love/I hate the Hall' speech by Trent.

Also inducted are T-Rex - Glastonbury’s very first headliner. Ironic - surely Depeche Mode has to the biggest British how-come-they’ve-never-played band.

Bigger in Europe than they are here would appear to be the answer.
