Volunteering

I haven't been on here for a long time, not been at Glastonbury since 2014 (God bless that Metallica set ;) ) and I think I'd really like to go again. This time however I'm looking to volunteer to go but I stay in Glasgow too haha. Who has given volunteering a try for Glasto and which companies did you try? Roughly when do people apply for these sort of things too?

Need to try and see Radiohead.

I did oxfam last year cos I didn't get tickets I recommend them. Free food, free ticket, get to go for or longer and showers (as well as on-site discounts at traders). I think applications go up on Feb/March time if you join the FB group you should have plenty of notice https://www.facebook.com/groups/oxfamfestivalsteam/

I have tried to volunteer through Oxfam a couple of times but no luck....it seemed like they were over subscribed quite heavily

I looked at tonnes of options last year after finding myself ticketless. I'd say sign up early if you are interested as spaces fill up very fast! Although they do have drop outs nearer to the festival so it's always worth keeping an eye on it all! Water aid also offer volunteering places

    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.

    • Jesse Malin was just fantastic at Union Chapel tonight.   now.. back to Le Mans...
    • I don't think I'm alone as a Scotland fan that there is no way that I could possibly fall asleep knowing we're about to play our first World Cup game in 28 years! Pure adrenaline is keeping me wide awake (and plenty of rum)!
    • Trying to stay awake for the footy so it’s just the easy option of a battery😊😉
