Paint fight

Right, this is something that's caught my eye this year that i've either not noticed or not bothered with in the past, so i was just wondering:

Has anybody ever done it before?

Was it worth it?

What does it entail? Is it really as simple as hurling paint at each other?

And mostly, does it get stupidly busy? (I imagine it does)

Was thinking of heading over to the Temple for it after The Chemical Brothers, but would hate to get there only for it to be ridiculously packed and not be able to get in. Plus it's run time of only ten minutes seems strange

Yes! It was a right laugh. I wore a plain white t shirt just for the occasion. I made sure to give myself 20-30 minutes to get in. It took about 10-15 minutes. People appeared from the sides with buckets filled with fistful-sized bags of UV paint powder, giving them out. Mr DJ gave a nice little safety warning, and advised everyone to note where the exit was in case of any difficulties. Told everyone to wait for the drop before chucking their paint, strung it out a bit to build it up a bit more, then...

(The 2014 videos aren't as good, but you get the idea)

I did it in 2013. It was one of the most bizarre things I have done at G. Lots of people take bin bags and wear them over their clothes. The paint is dry and it goes everywhere. You cannot escape it. Once everyone starts throwing it is like fog in there. But very funny. Much better idea than the tomato fight cause you don't end up all sticky and smelly. It was rammed in 2013 loads of people were queuing outside.

be careful; went straight to this from Massive Attack last year and ended up in a queue. Just about made it in for TEED a fair bit later.

That said, there was some secret set bull that caused some of the queue, so maybe you wont need to rush

    • This basically!, it's about as clear as day they'll be there.
    • Yeah there is no down time, I'm still tired and over thinking from last weeks work. A big reality check this week. If you just do it for the money you always will.

    • Robbie Williams would fit with the current state of the legend’s slot, and he’d bring the house down.
