Good luck to everyone that has entered competitions, I was lucky yesterday to get a steward position but I will keep my script running and notify people of any jobs available try to help people here get tickets. If I get lucky in a competition I will give a ticket or tickets if I can to people here if its allowed.

sat here trying to think of a way! and there isn't one! If I worked I could get my little boy and possibly my 13 year old in as she looks young and would pass for 12 but couldn't get my 16 year old in as she looks 16!  ARRRRGGGGG this is rubbish!

Hi. Just spoken to a guy at Oxfam. Last chance for Glastonbury yesterday so no point going on the waiting list for this year. Still places at Bearded theory next weekend for stewards and the other festival I am interested in is Latitude. There's a waiting list on Latitude. Why didn't I think of this before! DOH

Don't give up hope on the week sometimes they have people who don't turn up so do last minute asking :)

it's always worth being on the waiting list because people might cancel a position and only people on the waiting list will be emailed about any possible places

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that's given up quite yet!

Still holding on a bit of hope that there may be some more tickets closer to the festival, but might need to give up and book something else to do that weekend to avoid any highlights.

After going to the last 10 festivals it'll be weird not being there this year, but will make next year even better!

At least Bestival is in the diary so that yearly tradition will be upheld and is something to look forward to.

There was a eFestivals competition on an email early this morning.  I didn't pick it up until it was too late so pays to still be vigilant peeps.

Yeah it's been open for a while :) closed at 9am this morning I believe

Yep -. Says winner will be announced shortly.  Anyone know how long it took last time?  As long as it takes the winner to respond to the email I guess

Damn.  Should've checked my emails as soon as I got up! Still if someone who's still on here gets it I'll be happy.  I think there's only 3 of us survivors from last Thursday still on.

Last Thursday... Please do not speak those words :)

It was indeed a dark day.  However, I'm still certain we will get there and enjoy a pint of Thatchers Gold in the sun.

4 here but would settle for 2

This has been a rerun of last years disappointment. I really don't know why I do it to myself.

The chances of getting tickets are so remote these days I may as well throw £200.00 at the lottery !

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
    • This is my guess too.    2028 festival breaks the £400 barrier.
    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
    • A lot of people have said this online but does the Marvel world need new cities to play with? New York seems to be a target of all the villains to the point where you wonder why anyone in that world still lives there. Much as you can accuse me of overthinking it I guess haha.    I do agree that The Void is a compellingly different villain in many respects given the superpower is trapping people in their most traumatic memories. Shame in some respects the film came out in the post-Endgame funk Marvel seems stuck in and a lot of people missed out on it.    Speaking of, I rewatched Infinity War the other day. First time I think I've seen it since seeing it in the cinema on its opening day. Holds up pretty well imo - I have issues sometimes with ensemble casts and jumping between 4/5 storylines but it felt this one got the balance right and also properly explored Thanos. So it was good.
