He just explained the concept and asked the visitors to not leak stuff through social media. They're apparently shooting a promo clip there.

At 3pm the lineup gets announced both at the youth centre and on social media. We'll get 118 (!) names.

THey normally go on sale in the evening, right? Last couple of festivals I had the "early pass" from being there during the storm, that's over now so it's general sale for me. Should be OK though, I suppose as it's not sold out on day 1 for the last 5 years I've been going (had it?).

Don't think there's any danger of it selling out straight away, it was only about 4 years ago that it sold out for the first time in its history.

Hoping to get tickets for the Big Weekend next Tuesday, as it's in my home city, so if the PKP ones go on sale that day too it could be a great (or disappointing!) day for me!

Not expecting it to be straight away either (the only time that happened was the Foo Fighters day in 2012, and mainly thanks to the 2011 ticket holders). But with a killer lineup, which I expect it to be, weekend tickets might just sell out in a month. Especially considering the other Benelux festivals are considered to have a weak lineup so far, and a lot of people are awaiting the Pukkelpop names before making festival decisions.

Anyway, I don't want it to go fast because I need to await the date of my thesis deadline, which is supposed to be mid-August. Let's hope they don't coincide.

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
