the flag takers seem to have taken much taller poles this year - mostly much better

DeanoL - bang on about the fine guide - i think losing that was a really stupid move. Since then the number of ridiculous questions i overhear every day at the festival has jumped - people didn't know you can drink the tapwater!

i'm not sure anyone has said they actually had a go at anyone for using their phone tho, that would be a bit grumpy i reckon doesn't actually affect you does it

The litter was bad this year. I used to work on recycling crew for five years an used to be people at the gates giving out bags. We came in through gate a and there were no bags. Our campsite crew also did not have any and had to wait until wed night. I was in family camping and the campsite was amazingly clean which shows the type of people who camp there as no litter pickets come through the campsite. I did see a few litter pickers but there was not much picking of litter going on

I think it's a shame. When we worked there we worked so hard to clean up and our leader took us to clean the worst areas such as stone circle and pyramid stage. We didn't get breaks (only ten mins) and worked a full 8 hour shift. Maybe there has been a change in staff

I'd forgotten to mention the recycle bags. I only had 1 bin bag on me, so our rubbish at camp unfortunately wasn't divided into recyclables.

Are Hunters comfortable then? Whilst I don't want to be branded like the "Hunter posers" I keep reading about, I've got a cheap pair of wellies which I can feel every stone through. Any recommendations for better ones? I need to upgrade.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
