I just won two tickets! Good news but already have a ticket anyway, when entering the comp i had to put a guest name which is all cool and my mates buzzing like crazy as you can imagine, but means i have a spare in my own name, now these tickets dont have pictures on, could i give this to another mate and would he be ok getting in? they said i cannot change the names from when i entered. My mate does have the same first name as me, would photo id be needed or is it likely he could just walk straight in with the winning ticket?

If it doesn't mention photo id you could just give him bank card and a utility bill to take with him as id. Congrats on winning.

Using your details. Obviously he wouldn't want to take his passport or drivers licence to Glastonbury

Could you just tell them that you've tried to get time off work and not been able to and ask would it be ok to give to your friend. Make it clear that it is a friend and you are not selling it.

I know it is, hes driving me and my other mate there as well, will be a proper downer if he was to fall at the last hurdle

In that case it's a gamble. I would suggest if he wants to go prepare him for the possibility that it might not work. I'd guess they would be more stringent with competition winners tickets so it might be worth you going in via the competition winners ticket and him trying to use yours and trying to look as much like you as it is possible to do.

So even if I didnt have my ticket I would probably struggle to get in as well, and with it being so short notice and close to the festival how would they expect you to get any kind of photo ID in time

I think what i'll do is just give him as much as ive got with my name and address on, plus bank cards etc and hope he can get in, not everybody has photo ID

wouldnt they know to look for fake ID cards as well though?

They're pretty good some of these fake ID's and your mate could explain that (just like you) he doesn't have any form of photo ID, and worried about not getting in, resorted to getting an ID made.

I don't think it'll come to that though. There can't be many ticket winner forgeries out there.
