OK enough of Bruce, who can be brilliant but boring for some.

But the trouble is Clapton is the same. He doesn't need to bother any more and he doesn't. Not really a working performer so much as someone who dusts off his guitar if he's offered enough dosh and then functions on autopilot.

In his day he was good but that day has well gone.

Didn't Eric Clapton invent reggae though?

No joking aside I saw him back in the 80's at the Albert hall,I didn't know much about him and went for my friends sake (that's my story and I'm sticking to it).It was a thoroughly boring night and watching I shot the sheriff was unforgivable.

The only half descent bit was Phill Collins was on the drums and did in the air tonight.

I for one would love to see him. In Europe til Saturday night, so only Sunday night would be a possibility. But I don't think he'd be arsed, throw enough money is true, but Glastonbury not really like that. Would just like to hear the Cream/Yardbirds stuff.

Yeah hes no great showman in the traditional sense. But thats not what hes really about.

His current setlists are a mix of the most yawningly obvious blues covers and a few tasty acoustic numbers.

Seems to have dropped Wonderful Tonight which is a good thing. Rarely has a major artist released such a steaming pile of pooh.

Technically unquestionably pretty good but dishwater springs to mind, anything after Cream that is or maybe if he's got another great Blues guitarist to play off of.
