We are pretty sure he ate one of the buggers and got stung on the way down - he is 16 so you think he would know better.

He does seem to be sleeping very heavily so maybe he is drowsy hence the deafness?? Or maybe he is like me and selective!!

I did buy a book from Amazon once that came tracked. I saw the "your order has been despatched" email and forgot about it for a few days. Suddenly realised it hadn't arrived and looked at the online tracker.

At that point it was in South Africa. It appeared to have gone from Amazon somewhere in the Midlands, to a parcel distribution centre and turned left instead of right. Went to Heathrow or Gatwick and off half way round the world. It did come back eventually and was delivered.

Had a great tan though.

Hope he's ok Matty! This is the first young cat I've had. Well, other than ones when we were little. The last cat I had came to me for his retirement, he was 14 and lived another 2 years. He was a grumpy fucker. He was a ginger, called Ginger, funnily enough! The current Cat, called Cat, is 2 and very chirpy. Polar opposites! I love cats.

Have you taken him to the vet about the potential deafness?

Yep. If he is looking at you he will register but if asleep or looking the other way he no longer does.

We will keep testing but then if he has gone a bit deaf tis one of those things - can't really put a hearing aid on him.

Spoke to the vets this morning who we may get to see him but he hates the vets so much we hate to take him there unless we really have to.

He is 16 and has not only used his 9 lives but borrowed his sisters and lots of others.

A few of his mishaps:

Eating a toad and being very very ill for a week - in vets on a drip for 3 days.

Getting hit by a car and rupturing his cruxiate ligaments - got himself home on 3 legs - came through cat flap and came upsatairs!! Had to have hima in acage for 10 weeks in my office.

Getting stung, last year, by a bee/wasp and his airway closed. Rushed to vets on a Sunday and put under. Took a week before he could eat again!

He also has hyper thyroid thingymajig and is on tablets twice a day.

But he is a very happy cat.

His sister is lovely too but has cancer (2 ops already but cannot have any more if/when it comes back).

Meow,

    • My party again had an outstanding 4 days in Barca. We made the right call to leave the festival site early at about 10.30 on Thursday to get ourselves some excellent steaks in the city. I am with everyone that the organization should have been clearer about what is going on and also if you would like to get rid of some attendees open more exits, they sent us from gate to gate until we finally were able to get out. Biggest 'disappointment' was the beer price, a YoY increase from 5 to 6 is absolutely nuts!!! (i am living in Switzerland so me making this comment says something 🙂)   Top 10:   1. Men I Trust 2. Role Model (could have been first as well, what a great artist and great songs) 3. The XX 4. The cure (the last 90 minutes) 5. Gorillaz 6. MBV 7. Ninajirachi (another big miss of the organization, clearly on the wrong podium and wonder if Olivia's surprise set had something to do with that and they had to reschuffle late the Occident, Cupra and Port schedules) 8. NewDad 9. Big Thief 10. Annastashia      We did 3 years Barca now and for next year looking at the Porto or Bilbao festivals as an option.
    • Personally if it was me now, I would be grabbing a green camping ticket with the knowledge closer when I've refreshed that I can still choose general if I want to....you can't do the opposite!    I would say if you are happy to watch your headliners and big bands further back to be able to see who you actually plan to later then yes it is fine. Its a much difference experience to any other festival especially food wise and camping surrounds.    Once you're in the arena as well you're not going back unless you've got a gap. If I go again I'll be going with the option of not trying to push the front and enjoying further back as you actually put too much pressure on it than the time take away can forget to enjoy other acts.
    • No complaints about the sound. We were like 2nd set of steps facing stage right in like the middle row.
    • On the whole then, yay or nay...I've had a look on festivals united and there's people who seem converted by Rock Im Park, I can imagine it might be different if it was a washout as RaR is tarmac.   The hotel side would be more to convince the non campers if it's an option. On my first visit to rock am ring we were shuttled into the area where you could stick the car next to the tent which was fantastic as it meant zero lugging of camping gear.
