I think people that used to be able to do a lot of gigs have had to be more picky and make a decision rather than going to most of what they’d have been able to previously. The prices are just crazy now and if you add in spending money, transport & a potential hotel, all of which has gotten more expensive unless it’s a local gig or smaller independent venue it becomes holiday money. Even if your local and it’s an arena gig it could be higher than a days pay for some. -
