Gingo
Honestly I think this is a great idea, I personally always do research into bands I dont know when going to a festival and I would recommend anyone doing the same, you can find some gems
Com Truise
Is this going to change at midnight tomorrow rather than tonight then? I'm not going but I'm up for this, due to a lack of anything better to do with my time

Muppetmark
I'm just grateful there's been loads of albums to keep me happy, new Jay-Z and Pusha T soon as well, I think the Swim Deep album might be a laugh to listen to

daniel.k
I could get the new Jay Z album but i have just downloaded Kanyes album but I havent listened to it yet. I think John Newmans voice is superb, one that cant be easily replicated. He sounds like he should be alot older than he is. As for Jessie Ware I havent heard mushc of hers yet so thats what I will do tomorrow/later today
Boris The Spider
I don't think I like Jessie Ware. The disclosure song is probably an exception. I'll follow the rules + listen to 3 of her songs later on though.

Rose-Colored Boy
Jessie Ware 'Wildest Moments' was one of my songs of last year. 'Running' had kind of passed me by until a remix of it was on the Disclosure album. Quite nice but not great. 'If You're Never Gonna Move' I like but a tad overplayed has ensured that I don't like it as much as I might otherwise. Most probably won't see her because she clashes with Maverick Sabre but a fairly solid addition to the V line-up. 8/10 John Newman 'Not Giving In' strikes me as a song that is nice enough but doesn't really go anywhere. 'Feel the Love' is a tune. 'Love Me Again' was all over Sara Cox's Radio 1 show during my revision period. It's a nice vocal and a decent enough opening to his solo catalogue but not desperately keen on it. Not sure why he's playing a festival as a solo artist when he's got one solo song, and when he could just play with Rudimental in their set later in the day. Won't see him because he clashes with Laura Mvula but I'm sure he'll have a nice time. One for the future. 5/
daniel.k
John Newman is recording his debut album, so he will have more songs by that time ready to perform. Im listening to Jessie Ware now and I cant quite work out who she sounds most like. Shes a little bit like Paloma Faith but a little lower voice, or a little bit like Florance. All in all shes okay but I wouldnt rush to see her. I have to be harsh on my marking and scoring as a 10 out of 10 will have to be worked for I would give Jessie Ware a 5/10 and John Newman a 6/

Com Truise
Jessie Ware: I listened to Sweet Talk, Something Inside and Imagine It Was Us, very chill songs, like they belong on the Drive soundtrack, although nothing that really hit out to me as amazing, and I probably wouldn't listen again. A bit like Grimes but less interesting. Sounds like her live performances could be quite lackluster. Sweet Talk was my favourite. I do recommend the George Fitzgerald remix of No To Love though. John Newman: Listened to 3 tracks on his Soundcloud, Love Me Again, Not Giving In and Try. Again, he's okay, but nothing amazing in my opinion, reminds me of Plan B a bit, he has a nice voice, but it's just not the type of music I like to listen to. His voice is great though. If you like his stuff, go and see him, he sounds like he'd put on a good show. Try was the best track out of those 3. oh ratings, Jessie Ware 5/10, John Newman 7/10 Edited June 24, 2013 by Com Truise
Boris The Spider
Jessie Ware isn't really doing anything for me, remember hearing 'Wildest Moments' all the time on the radio at work and found it annoying. I quite liked 'Confess to Me' that she featured on with Disclosure on Jools Holland, reminded me of the 90's. They're the only 2 of hers that i'm aware of (probably heard others without realising) so the third I chose was 'Imagine It Was Us' which has a pretty good beat but again with her breathy vocals. She's not horrible to listen to but not really for me, so 5/10 John Newman, I know I love 'Feel The Love' but part credit to Rudimental. I've also listened to 'Try' which is not bad but not amazing. Just listening to 'Love Me Again' now which is quite good, got a bit of a Mark Ronson feel - don't know if it's just me but his voice is reminding me a bit of Seal?? ha. I quite enjoy his vibe although I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to him so 6-7/10.

Pothuthic
Jessie Ware really doesn't tickle my fancy Sweet Talk - its an easy song to listen to, but doesn't really go anywhere, not something I'd like to dance to in a field Running - prefer the remix Imagine It Was Us - Don't like her voice in this one. 4/10 for me. John Newman is better Love Me Again - I'm loving this track! Its gonna be huge. Not Giving In - I love this song, his vocals are good on it, but the tunes better than the vocals Feel The Love - I didn't get into this until September 2012, I love it! 6/10 for me
