Directions from A303

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if Easton Lane will be closed? Planning on coming up A371 from A303 and turning left onto Easton Lane for A37 & joining blue route for east car parks...good idea?

If not, whats the best route either before or after Easton Lane should it be shut?

After checking the official road closures and alterations http://www.mendip.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=3240&p=0

it looks like it will be open but you won't be able to stop on it... if that makes any difference...

Erm, pages 8 and 9 of that document show that both Easton Lane and Bagborough Lane will be closed from 8am on Wednesday, and that access on the A371 north of B3153 (Castle Cary Station) *could* be closed from Weds 8am.

So basisically if the OP is arriving on Wednesday - the route won't work.

As i thought. We'll be arriving about 3-4am so will give it a go...if not then we'll just follow whatever route is in place. Im sure we done easton lane in 2011 though on the wed morning.

Hi, we are travelling on the A303 from Illminster, this is our route:

B3168 to New Rd

Harp Rd to A303

Onto A37

Turn left to GLASTONBURY

Will we need to find another route due to road closers?

We are heading for Gate B for Cockmill Meadow/Family Campsite

Yep, you're fine. That's the main signposted route.

Taking the same blue route as this, but travelling from Middlesbrough...

We're having a brief stop at Fleet Services on the M3. Google Map estimates Fleet Services is normally 1hr 36mins away from Gate B (TA11 7DP).

How much extra time should we allow for traffic - with the aim of arriving by 6am Wednesday morning?

That's the million dollar question. I'd guess anywhere between one to three hours extra - really depends on your luck on the day. Good luck!

as that has a link regarding the current order in place with regards the roads around the festival.

its never bothered me because I was displaying the right pass but I can see if you dont and your trying to reach the other side its a right hassle { can see the reason why but its still a right hassle }
