Comedy announced a 7

Alan Carr is the most certain, but I think Milton Jones could be there too as he is touring the Glee clubs after V. If I saw anyone in the comedy tent I would like to see Tom Stade or Craig Campbell as more major names, and maybe Imran Yusef and Dan Sloss as smaller names

Alan is likely, wouldn't be shocked to see Adam Hills, Lee Nelson there

They would be good. Adam Hills could get heckled about how many wellies should he buy...would love to hear his response to a drunk chav :P

The complete lack of females hasn't gone down well, whoops.

Where has it not gone down well?

Was the same last year. Usual rules about not booking R&L acts and acts playing both days don't necessarily apply to the comedy tent.

Yeah I noticed a few acts were only doing one day last year tbf

Not bad line up defo try and catch adam hills and Rob Beckett as I think they are funny but no females especially in this current climate. It is like a line up for a mock the week and other comedy panel shows. I am all for female equality.

Ouch, dont know if V realized they did it on purpose, but I think there are a few real good female comics, some of which are better than half the guys. Even if V didnt want high profile ones, they could have gone with Roisin Conaty as she is popular from Impractical Jokers, or Gina Yashere or Katherine Ryan

Just remember guys, if you want to catch a lot of the big comedy names, get there early! I remember for Eddie izzard last year people had to watch from outside the tent. When we went to see Paul Chowdhry we had to watch on the screen outside and were allowed in for the last few minutes only.

Is there any chance of Garrix? He was incredible at Big Weekend, much better than Tiesto

I thought that a few days ago, he has a hole for V in his schedule but it is also the weekend for Sziget so maybe he is doing both. I could see him in the Arena but I dont know how big of a crowd he would get if he played roughly where Jaguar Skills played last year (2nd/3rd from top). I got bored of Tiesto so I turned it off, but Garrix did look like he was lost a couple of times

Garrix was easily the best yesterday, I watched all 6 yesterday, he was extremely good, was surprised

Agreed, out of Zane Lowe, Pete Tong, Martin Garrix and Tiesto that I watched, Garrix was the most entertaining. Plus he played the macarena which seemed to go down a treat

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
