Apparently was the same last time Nick Cave played too. People just sat through the set waiting for the headliner. Do think for that reason would have been more suited to other header

Imo it should be Nick Cave heading with Mumfords subbing, but only mainland Europe could get that right :P

For me I like to go to a festival to see lots of music rather than having an experience (and even getting drunk) so Glastonbury would be pointless for me since I'm so fat :P

At last count I will be seeing about 18 acts. I have god knows how many 2hr gaps to wander too. I'm a fatty too really, I cope fine!

Same, I want to see and hear music to my taste, and I cant afford all the alcohol to get drunk, so maybe just once im back at the tent then just maybe ill drink

Shangri La late night acts (Rudimental etc.)

(My mate is desperate to see HAIM)

The Hives

Sat:

The Rolling Stones

Two Door Cinema Club

Ben Howard

Primal Scream

Noah and the Whale

Arcadia late night acts (Fatboy Slim etc..)

The 1975

Sunday:

Vampire Weekend

Smashing Pumpkins/Nick Cave (haven't decided)

The View

The Vaccines

Palma Violets

About what I can remember off top of my head

I wish i was going to Glasto, it sounds amazing and I totally get whats its about, but being a glasto virgin and a teenager i would be rushing from act to act :L but it sounds like the perfect all round festival which is why i hope to do it soon (post A level seems like the best time to try for it)

My first time I made that mistake. Done a Clashfinder and crammed a act in every space. Hardly saw any of the other stuff

Who do people think the saturday Arcadia headline will be, I just looked on the glasto website and it says announced at the festival, so thats like the TBA's in the clashfinder

Well I know Skillrex is doing a secret act someone (gully I believe) but I reckon that could be him too

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
