This will only be my 2nd time at Glasto but following my glasto vetrans advice and only pick a few must sees a day, so far they are:

Portishead

The foals

Stones

Public enemy (have to do a 50/50 0n saturday)

PIL

Tame impala possibly

Elvis Costello

Nick Cave

Sinead O'Connor

Depends on clashes and all, but want to spend more time around the circus and caberet fields this year as so much seems to be going on round there

PS. apart from the Foals not see any of the others and this is how I decide who is best to see, picking people you won't normally get the chance to see

Jake Bugg

The Orb

Dizzee Rascal

Possibly Crystal Castles

Toy

Azealia Banks

Alabama Shakes

Primal Scream

Rolling Stones

Jagwar Ma

Editors

Vampire Weekend

Smashing Pumpkins

Simian Mobile Disco

I usually watch aboiut eight bands a day though, so goes to show how much more of the line-up is still to come.

Less must sees this year, which may be a good thing.

Stones

Urban Voodoo Machine

Elvis Costello

Lumineers

Hobo

Still hoping The Travelling Band will be changed from SR to C. Other than that, I will go where the mood takes me.

Dizzee rascal

primal scream

vampire weekend

Vaccines

Foals

Notable mentions go to chase n status and example who clash with stones and primal scream as well as bands/ artists like seasick steve, johnny marr, palma violets, bootleg beatles, dinosaur Jr who will undoubtedly clash with someone i want to see and have fully accepted i wont be able to catch any of them (unless the rolling stones are crap then il be at the latter half of chase n status).

Mine is more of a visit list.

Healing Fields for a massage and to chillout

Slab of cake from the Fayres Fair Café

Pint of Ale in the Avalon Field and listen to who ever is on

Walk about 20 metres and chat to friend working at the circus skills area

Pop into the comedy tent for a bit to see what's on

Wander into Jazz World Field and have a little dance

When a little snoozy from all the dancing excitement, I'll pop to the Mexican Hammock company for bit

Meet some mates for a pint of Cider

At this point I might look at the line-up or tag along with chums to see a band

All culminating in a late night in the Green Fields, Stone Circle or the Naughty Corner

Bliss!

Of Monsters and Men

The Hives

Chic ft. Nile Rogers

The Horrors

Those are the acts I'd like to see, without checking out other bands on the line up that I'm not familiar with.

If I see 2 or 3 bands a day I'll be happy though.

    • Remain self-imposed on not going north of a hundred, but... we're getting to the point now where the starting gun will be above that for some acts.
    • I'm finding the lower line up a little impenetrable this year   Any thoughts on heavier bands a la Slift a few years ago?
    • Will be curious to see how most of those shows sell. Surprised they're playing Leeds and Manchester - much as I am with Megadeth. (Not complaining, mind you.)
    • Biffy Clyro back again for R+L then 😁   To be fair, Biffy Clyro still one of the true "coup" bookings they've had here. Not implausible another Victorious headliner ends up in the mix, given Ashcroft has done it before. Maybe Kasabian, on the back of their arena run?
