It's just a joke, a made up shit one , god knows maybe everything could be offensive to someone, lets just not tell jokes then eh.

Anyway scousers are always hilarious and pride themselves on it so surely they get the notion of a joke? In the case of an offensive joke its schadenfreude isnt it?

I know Liverpudlians who have no connection to the tragedy (and who weren't even born) but who still jump on the bandwagon in order to seem important and to give them some identity. Sort of like the cretins who sing about the IRA without any knowledge of the situation or history because they like being in a big masculine group. Are these people not ripe for parody? Or are they forever protected because they choose to latch onto and use a sensitive issue?

So you are saying you can you not feel passionately about an issue without a direct connection? I mean there are 1000s of people who campaign for better living conditions in Africa. with no link to the those effected. Not all are bandwagon jumpers.

Yes that's absolutely correct, when I said that I knew people who used the Justice campaign as something to shout about because they like shouting about things what I actually meant is that nobody is allowed to support a cause if they don't have a direct link. Well done for deciphering that.

But that's half my point... Stupid assumptions. You assume these people jump on a bandwagon to give themselves identity, they might not be doing that. I think people underestimate how hard it hit that city.
