Windbreaks

Is it Glastonbury etiquette to take windbreaks to create a clear area between tents?

There are four of us in 2 tents and we're thinking of putting a couple of windbreaks up to create a space to sit in on Wednesday and Thursday & the Fri/Sat/Sun mornings.

After all, its only like taking a gazebo (which there are always plenty of).

In some areas it is like a red rag to a bull and akin to taping off your area. You may find that although you have a clear space in front of your tents one day, the next day someone may have set up camp as there wasn't anywhere else they could find.

No, please don't. It's antisocial, a nightmare to walk through a load of tents anyway without finding walls everywherel and very different to a gazebo that is open for anyone to pass through.

ive camped top of pyramid field for about 11 years same place or near abouts and i have to say last time i was dismayed at the amount of wind breaks that were put up like a fence along the front by the path .

i thought that a bit much but if you space just put all your tents facing each other leaving enough space for you all to chill and relax and pop a tarp or old sheet down to indicate that that space is taken.

even then you can still be invaded if you leave camp . :hunter:
