glasto cannot afford richie hawtin or sven vath (or wouldnt stump up what it would cost to get them). plus they wouldnt play as it doesnt suit their image. Sven has cocoon in the park in leeds in July each year, thats his own curated event done just to his standards, of which glasto wouldnt really be able to meet. he likes 4 hour sets, for example.

ok plastikman once did bestival but that was a live show and it was a headline of the 2nd largest stage there and was one of the prominent acts on the lineup overall.

i kind of wish big DJ's would work at glasto but they just dont really. big live shows do, but they end up on the other stage or John Peel.

i prefer seeing smaller / niche dj's playing smaller places. Beat hotel was amazing last year.

I've seen squarepusher in the glade twice and he was amazing both times. I then dragged friends to see him on the strength of this at Bestival and Wang and he was very disappointing. I reckon he pulls out all the stops for glasto!
