Caravan booking - when?

Hi,

I'll try & make this quick, but apols if womble on. OH has whiplash injury so camping out for next yr. We want to rent one of those delivered on site caravans. At the mo, sequence of events looks like: buy ticket, wait til April when caravan tix go on sale, buy caravan tix, pay for caravan rental.

Except, there's a prob. By april all caravans will be gone and what if we book caravan first then don't get caravan ticket? We'll lose the deposit on the caravan booking. How the hell do people do this? Totally confused and feeling very stupid.

I've done the same - not hiring a caravan already there but getting a campervan field ticket to take my own. The rule used to be that one of your party had to pay for a ticket in full, not just the deposit, to be able to get a CV field ticket. The rest could pay for their tickets in full at normal time.

Not sure how the rules will be applied to pre-sited caravans, but probably the same.

Camper van tickets went on sale in April in 2011 too.

I watched campervan tickets on ebay one year, very expensive when they've all sold out, the closer it got to the festival the cheaper they became to the point of not selling at all. And of course people offer them in these forums. So there's always another way

Ahhhh the knot in my tummy has unravelled ) I assumed both ticket releases would be a bun fight. One I can deal with, cos I'm going in with the 'I've only been for the day before, there are other festivals I don't know what I'm missing approach'. Thank you all for help!
