Max Ruddock
Leaving on Monday morning, as it's a bank holiday I expect the motorways and roads will be heaving.. Anyone have any experience of what it's like leaving in the morning (9/10am) and heading to M25/A12? Cheers
glasto-worker
well not to A12 but close A329/A33/M4/M25/A10 - there is a long way to leave Reading { towards junction 10 of the M4 } and that will be jam packed { as that will be where the signs are pointing to } but if you can find the A33 your laughing { towards junction 11 of the M4 }- may look simple on a map but if you don't know Reading its not easy. Provided there is no diversions the M4 tends to be fast moving. I have tried the M4/A406/A10 but its roughly the same time as M4/M25/A10 and I prefer the M4/M25/A10 route. Just like every road there can be local hold ups which are impossible to predict in advance. I have left at various times and unless you leave overnight there is not much in it leaving in the morning - sure its going to be busy but not overwhelming. Max Ruddock
Might just get up at 4/5am to leave then - have work later in the afternoon and would love a shower and a nap before I have to go!
liam
Left at around 10ish Monday on about 4 different occasions and traffic been fine on the M4/M25 and A12. Only ever had traffic in Reading on the way out.
