Earlybird 2013

Does anyone know when the earlybird tickets for 2013 go on sale? I can't remember when they went on sale last year!! I have a feeling is was about August though.

If I was in charge I would have had the EB tickets out well before (like normal) now with people starting to spend their money on this thing called Christmas might effect sales on EB tickets when they decide to release them!

Well I'm not getting an early bird this year for the first time since 09. If I can do it on the cheap I might go but it's certainly not a definite anymore and I'll wait and see the line up first before I make a decision.

It says the earlybird tickets for 2013 are £139 on the effect page for rockness. Has this been confirmed ?

I hope there is a better deal than that, with the stupid fee's they charge on the ticket that means it will be like £160 at least. Think they need to focus on getting tickets sold at this stage, they have left it so late this year, lots of people are starting to make other plans.

i have a feeling that the lineup is good enough and has enough of a wow factor to be able to sell enough tickets so late on ...

I still think that £139 represents very good value for money as far as this festival is concerned. Rockness have been very very kind to us with the £100 earlybirds in the past, I'm actually surprised it's taken so long to increase the price. When you consider that all of the overheads will have increased substantually over the last few years it has to be done. Personally I enjoy Rockness more than TITP, so when you compare ticket prices I still consider it a bargain.

What I would welcome though is the 3 payment scheme returning

Yeah £139 is good but rockness is really bad for admin fees and postage fees which will take it up to prob £160. You'd think I live in another country not 4 hours down the road !

I really think they will struggle to sell the volume of tickets required unless they price it correctly and have a blinding full line-up announced before the end of January.

As mentioned they have left things far too late. Anyone know why?

I might be really wrong but I'm sure they had to agree a new contract with the land owner this year

Or they just have an axing lineup (daft punk) and know they'll sell out anyway ;-)
