Yeah, food is terrible. Forget really using bars (I wouldn't call them resturants) apart from a couple on the beach front. Supermarket it is the cheapest and best bet. The drinks within the camps/arena are expensive as well compared to buying outside the venue, but it's like that at every festival!

As we fly back home from Alicante on the Monday @13.30 i'm looking for travel info please ..

I know i can't book any train tickets yet , but does anybody know if there was early trains returning to Alicante last year i.e. about 8am on the Monday ?

Has anybody used 4ufestival.eu for airport transfers or eufest ? are they reliable on the time fronts especially on the return leg ?

The Strokes did a 1 / 1:30 / 2 AM (ish) set last time I went if memory serves man. Then Friendly Fires absolutely bossed it afterwards at 3-4 AM, so good.

My mate hid a hip flask of some absolute dirt dark rum we bought from one of the local supermarkets in a space in his boxers where his gooch is and got into the performance arena with no trouble. Not glamorous but it all depends what lengths you want to go to to smuggle booze in I guess!

I'd say 20 minutes walk, max - not a mission by any means chap.

St Gaz, takes just over 3 hours on the train from Beni to Alicante (well it did for us last year on the way there) and the airport is 8/9miles outside the city centre where the rail stations are, so even if you managed to get an 8am one you might be pushing it, so if you're a stresshead like me, I'd get an early morning coach with eufest. Never used them before but heard good reviews, so that's what I'd do personally. Bit annoying as it gets in the way of your Sunday night plans a bit but probably worth it for the peace of mind! Pretty sure they take you to the airport but i might be wrong.

Hey guys, I might be going to Benicassim this year, it's the first time ever at a festival for me, so why not do it big? I just have a few questions (I've read the whole thread, don't worry, it's just a few things I didn't understand).

So when you say you can't take drinks from the supermarket with you in, do you mean into the camp or the festival area where the band is playing? Cos it would be weird if you couldnt take it into the camp, or am I wrong?

And I'm a bit torn between the fibcamp and the benicamp, which is best; to be closer to the beach or the festival area?

Thank you, and we'll probably have a big swedish flag at our tent, so if you see it, don't hesitate to say hello :D

Anyone able to tell me when Camping tickets usually sell out? Also, do they do 4 day tickets which are cheaper than Camping? When do they go on sale and when do they usually sell out?

No intention of camping TBH, we're Scottish. Enough Said.

Also, any more predictions seeing as the rumours and announcements have gone dead. Really want Alex Clare announced, and his schedule is free. The line up so far is good, but going by previous years I feel like something bigger is coming! KOL por favor?

The four day passes have free camping included. I've seen in previous years that the official site announced free camping is sold out, yet available again after a short while. There is Villa camp (that someone asked about before) but after doing both, it was nice to have extra shade and real toilets & showers, but you can't put a price on the atmosphere you get in free camping...and its not 80 odd euros. So as long as you don't leave it too late, you'll get your space. Camping comes with the 4 day pass.

Regarding the boat party...I wondered this too. Are there any?

But it's still better headliners. I seen stone roses last year at TITP and it wasn't as good as the hype suggested. You know what you are getting with arctic monkeys and the killers are also supposed to be very good.

    • A question has crossed my (questionable) mind;   Has the size of the Green Fields remained the same as other areas have expanded / been added on to, since say, 2014 (the last time that I attended)? Are they 'lost' within, or well attended?    That's actually two questions. The second one just slipped in at the end by taking advantage of my lack of means to stop it.
    • I'd say the same about Kylie.    Annie would be awesome, Duran not so much, and on the issue of them wanting a beanie slot, that probably rules out a fair few others who I think would fit the bill very well... and are legitimately more entitled to a headline, and/or too expensive.   Was just about to suggest Chaka Khan, but see @Gnomicide has beat me to it!    What about someone like Bryan Ferry?
    • It's certainly gone more that way, but then they went completely in the opposite direction and had Cat Stevens.
    • Chaka can, or Chaka can't?
    • TVOD are playing Blue Basement in London 2/9 with a complete EOTR/Psych Fest shaped hole before their next gig in Lyon on 8/9. Well received in the Big Top last year, reckon they're nailed on for a secret set in the Tipi.
