does 5000 people on castle green strike anyone else as being quite a lot / overpopulated?

IIts not that big.

It sounds a lot more do-able than the 8,000 the press office initially told efestivals as the capacity.

(to be fair to them, they did correct what they'd told us very quickly, to 5,000).

But yeah, 5,000 still seems to be an awful lot of people on a space that is in theory large enough, but which has all sorts of obstacle bits and pieces and un-flat ground within it. I can't imagine how it might work.

Very very overcrowded, found the soundsystems a little lacking once you steppedslightly away from standing between the speakers.

Queued from 3pm, was in by 5.30pm & there were still a huge amount of people behind us in the Q.

Bars and toilets impossible to get anywhere near so we bailed out at 7pm, went back to the hotel and saved ourselves for Love Saves the Night - when we had a fantastic night in The Big Chill Bar.

Bristol is a lovely place to visit, the people were very friendly. Would definately go again, but not for Love Saves the Day.
