Since a similar setup on the Download page and I know there is the 2012 lineup page and the Efests rumour page, but i thought i would gather all the rumours in a system of:

Nailed on, Highly likely, likely, rumour, unlikely and not going to happen.

Comment any that i have missed out and i will add them to the list

Main Stage

Headliners:

Foo Fighters - Nailed on, 20th anniversary of Nirvana Reading show

Kasabian - Nailed on, as reported by efests

The Cure - Nailed on, as reported by efests

Linkin Park - Maybe, always up there in the rumours, can't rule them out

Rammstein - Maybe, meant to be playing a UK festival this year, only one left now

Bloc Party - Maybe, but i hope not

Greenday - Apparently going on a sept UK Arena tour

The Killers and Stone Roses - headlining V

Watch The Throne (Jay Z and Kanye West) - Unlikely, all ready announced a UK tour

The Prodigy, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Bruce Springstein, Tom Petty, Pearl Jam, Kiss, Faith No More and Queen - Headlining other festivals

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Not going to happen, playing Knebsworth and other shows

Arctic Monkeys - Not playing Euro festivals

Sub headliners:

Florence and the Machine - Nailed on according to efests

The Black Keys - Very likely, strong rumour, not yet been announced for a UK fest

Queens of the Stone Age - Likely, close to Dave Grohl, so may sub

Dizzee Rascal - Maybe, Not been announced for a major uk fest yet (V, Isle of wight etc) so seems likely

Slipknot - Maybe, been ruled out by Corey Taylor, but might have been a bluff?

Soundgarden - Maybe, playing Download, don't think they are an exclusive

Bloc Party - Maybe, back together again, may make an appearance

Biffy Clyro - Maybe, subbing two UK fests all ready, could happen

Pixies - Maybe, headliners don't usually return though

Mumford and Sons - Maybe, playing Rockness, might still happen

Noel Gallagher and Snow Patrol - V Fest

Pendulum - Are NOT playing any dates this year

Other Main Stage bands:

Kaiser Chiefs - TBC third from top, probably on the Kasabian day

Tenacious D - Highly likely on the Foo's days similarly to QOSTA

The Gaslight Anthem - Festival favourites, likely to be back

Enter Shikari - Same as above

Dizzee Rascal - Has previously collaborated with Florence, so never know might happen

The Vaccines - No yet announced for V, will have to wait on that, currently likely

Mumford and Sons - Only been announced for Rockness, could make an appearance

Korn - Playing Euro fests, no uk fests yet

The Black Keys - If not sub headlining will be 3rd from top

Refused - Playing Soni, but are likely to be mid main

Lostprophets - Likely, new album, not been announced anywhere yet

Dropkick Murphys - Likely, playing Euro festivals, could be and should be back

Angels & Airwaves - Likely, apparently playing fests

At The Drive In - Likely, playing Euro fests, and no UK fests

Placebo - Maybe, playing festival in Germany over the weekend on the Saturday

YM@6 - Maybe, will probably be there, however have all ready been announced for Download, but that shouldn't rule them out

The Drums - Maybe, may make the step up this year

Rancid - Maybe, they are always wanted, maybe this time it is their year to return?

Pulled Apart by Horses - Maybe, could open the Main Stage

Twin Atlantic - Maybe, could open the Main Stage

Lower Than Atlantis - Likely, opening the main

Radio 1 Tent

Headliners:

The Macabees - Very likely, reported too have self confirmed at their own show

Two Door Cinema Club - Likely, playing NME tour

Chase and Status - Maybe, playing other UK fests

Enter Shikari - Maybe, linked with Soni, could make an appearance for the 4th year in a row

Soundgarden - Maybe, probably to big for the tent but never say never after FNM

Pixies - Maybe, however unlikely most bands that have headlined only return to headline again

The Darkness - Maybe, however unlikely, playing Soni, T and IOW

Justice - Maybe, could be in with a good shout

Other bands:

Tribes - Nailed on, Self confirmed at their own show

Miike Snow - Were nailed on, but now linked with V

Howler - Nailed on, believe that they have self confirmed

Foster The People - Likely as reported by Efests

Other Stages

Less Than Jake - Likely for the Lock up Stage, if not will be on Main

Bowling For Soup - Likely, same as Less Than Jake

Surprised you have the killers as unlikely not maybe. Didn't they say they were hoping to do some UK festivals this year?

Also I think it would look better if you listed them (in their sub-category's) in terms of size e.g. bloc party and slipknot above the likes of the rancid and koRn.

And you could add tones of bands to the likely, maybe and unlikely lists - The Who, Van Halen, Guns 'n' Roses, pixies, Bullet for my Valentine, SOAD, Feeder, Lost Prophets, The All American Rejects, At The Drive-in, Enter Shikari, Paramore, The Racounteurs, You Me At Six and Billy Talent to name but a few.

If you wanted to put in loads of effort, you could split the 'not going to happen' list into two - 'confirmed not attending' and 'Highly Unlikely'.

    • Really well done, Primavera. Maybe the biggest name on the lineup as a surprise. (Ecpecially if Robert joins this)
    • There's one way it can get bigger- if Robert Smith joins her on stage
    • I see what you’ve done there.  If they stick with an electronic opener I reckon it would be someone more “radio friendly”. Rudimental, FBS etc
