anybody been to roskilde before?

been thinking of it for years and with bjork being announced I think were going to go for it next year.

is there much stuff after the bands finish? like glasto or is it more like v/reading where not much happens.

from what I hear its a great festival atmosphere wise, is this true?

is it easy to get to from copenhagen airport?

I'm looking for something to take Glastonbury's place this year, and I've read very good things about it. Just wondering whether there is an arena then a separate camping area like Reading/Leeds/TiTP etc or is it like Glasto where there is camping and festival stufs in the same site?

Hello people,

Just looking for a bit more info abou this festival really. Myself and a few mates are deciding where to go this year. We have been to Benicassim, EXIT and Optimus Alive so looking for somewhere new.

Any adviseon what this fest festival is like would be great. Baasically info like how much does it cost for food/beer in and out of the festival, is there many english there, and is it lively.

ANy info or advise would be great from anyone who has been, especially if you can compare it to the 3 i have already been to or any other reccomendations for any other festivals in europe.

Mucho thanks in advance

    • Rod Liddle has died. RIP.
    • Tickets on sale from 17th August but there is a special autobuy feature from 10th August- you log what you want to buy and then forget about it apparently.
    • Took my now 12 year old to old Trafford couple of years ago, for his 1st game. He fell asleep during the game, no replies needed. 😃   He is also a Wolves fan, my parenting skills are as good as Onana's goalkeeping skills.
    • A few snaps from Sunday, which was huge fun, plus Happy Mondays, Radio Free Alice, Fratellis and Pale Waves. We didn't stay for The Streets, as after 3-4 songs it felt so downbeat compared to the rest of the day, and i've got another hectic week at work incoming.
    • It was fine, just hectic! The youngsters were mostly very well-behaved. The weather was a real bonus, although surprisingly chilly evenings - I guess it's the altitude - and the area between sound and main stage was a massive dust bowl.
