Just got myself a ticket for Wickerman before the line up came out, scissor sisters and texas headline with the view and newton faulkner playing as well, nowhere near as good as the Kendal line up for me but the wife and daughter will enjoy it. Still much better than the solfest announcement of big country, adam ant and kt tunstall as headliners

Quick question for anyone that might know.

We're wanting to get the Thursday upgrade but I noticed that there are no shuttle buses from the train station that day, how easy will it be to get to the festival from Penrith train station on the Thursday?

thats fine, shame theres not an option for the thursday, even if it was one bus at 5pm or something like that, it would at least give people an option for the thursday tickets.

im sure if there was just the one thursday bus it would be worth while and im pretty sure people wouldnt mind hanging about for it for a few hours

Thanks for the advice people. Think we will go on the Thursday and either get a bus or taxi. Not sure what exactly we are taking yet but I may come back to you Lakeland about that number.

Really looking forward to this, all things considered Kendal is the best festival for my needs and tastes this year. Will be gutted if this sells out before my mates confirm they can definaelty go (work wise).

Morning all hope we are all well!

Were arriving Thursday, Just a few questions (I hope these arent becoming tedious)

What time do gates open Thursday?

We are driving, as you cannot now camp next to your car in Emperors, which entrance shall we use?

Also how long is the walk from the car park to the campsite? This is the worst bit of a festival for me haha. My shoulders bled one year at Leeds OUCH.

It was a nightmare trying to get tickets...the 'pre sale' on Friday was a joke....I got tickets in my basket and when I put my credit card details in it had sold out!!

Saturday was a pure flook, but the screw up was really down to music glue (ticketing agency) who had no 'bot' protection so the touts had a field day.

When they came on sale at the sage at 10am their system and phoneline just couldn't cope with the volumes.

    • Cool, if potentially completely exhausting, idea.
    • We don't have any choice but I don't need a t-shirt for it! 🙂    On the bright side, it gets it out of the way for a nice 5 year run... notwithstanding wars, new contagious diseases and apocalypse.
