Spector are quality, that Chevy Thunder tune is a belter!

Cant wait now, anyone got any special plans or anything this year?

Friday - Girlfriends birthday so having some champagne (cheap stuff) with balloons, cake and party hats etc.

Saturday - 80's Footballers Fancy Dress (If you see us around, we will be sporting around 5 mullet wigs and some tight tight shorts)

Anyone else got anything planned?

The efestivals website says that Dizzee is confirmed for Friday. This would make sense as Friday night at KC is usually headlined by a Dance type act......has it been published anywhere that Maximo and Dizzee have now changed nights?

Weren't Missing Andy on Britain's Got Talent a few years back? I'm off to the Great Escape in May and a chunk of the Calling Out bands are on there I will definitely be trying to catch Spector and Max Raptor will let you know if they're any good:)

Missing Andy weren't on BGT - they were on that slightly cooler SKY show that I've forgotten the name of. It had Charlene Spiteri, Dizzee, & I think Jamie Cullum judging. The winner was a busker called Emma's Imagination. There were some good acts on it tbf.

thats working on the assumption that dodgy and dreadzone will appear on the main stage, with their recording histary id be suprised if they appeared anywhere else. i also wouldnt be suprised to see spector fill the friday calling out headline slot.

again with the exception of the view all playing days are confirmed by the artists

Saw Spector supporting F & the Machine a couple of weeks ago and they do put on a show. Bit Killers-y, and they had a half dozen decent songs, plus a good t shirt for sale ! They seemed to lean towards anthemy charty stuff rather than my preferred genre of 'squalid indie no hopers', but they should be entertaining at KC.

Don't know whats going to be on the album, but its one I could see selling well if they have a good festival season. Signed, its got to be worth a punt..

Is Spector album worth getting?? Pre-order signed copies on Play for £9 so tempted...

Although as its pre-order it means not released so nobody would have heard it so my question is redundant...

you might find that when they adjusted the poster a couple of days ago to include Benjamin Francis Leftwich that one of the other acts was knocked off by mistake. swiss lips still may be playing

    • I'm rethinking my plans to go now.
    • Yeah Birmingham date was a battle at first, kept kicking me out of seetickets presale for about 20 minutes. Tried on a different device and it put me through to axs with no queue.
    • I don't know if they were playing the game of only putting certain seats on sale, but the presale for the Hydro was a battle - usual game of selecting blue seats only for them to have gone by the time you clicked through to checkout.  No standing available at all.  I managed to get two seats eventually, way over to the side.
    • Thom Yorke will be releasing new music this year. Would be amazing to have him (his 2019 Tomorrow's Boxes tour was stellar). Ed O Brien can also play a small set. Could be lovely.   Can see Fontaines DC headlining next year (if Mad Cool doesn't get them). Is Raye edgy enough for this? She's amazing live but maybe not a 'Primavera name'?   Hoping for a return of Run The Jewels (rumored to be working on something new?) Fred Again is a good shout as wel.
    • Other than the very challenging hours of the storm (and PS's terrible mismanagement), I thought weekend was fantastic. Main highlights on Thursday - Blood Orange and Ahadadream>>Bambi>>BenUFO run at Plentitude right after the storm which were all a blast, Friday -  Avalanches DJ set (only played for an hour but could've continued for another two as far as we were concerned), The Cure (amazing show and his expression right at the end of the show which was caught on screen was very special) and on Saturday - Baxter Dury (seen him twice before but he has become a real performer, band was tight too). We accidentelly bumped into him in the VIP area later and he was so humble and modest and generous to us that I completely fell for him) and Smerz (especially the last 3 songs). Also loved BCNR at Parallel62 on Sunday. Crushed to have missed Overmono. Can't wait for next year.
