Not after big names, just an alternative to the 90's indie vibe. Acts like Tunng, British Sea Power, Gruff Rhys with or without Neon Neon, Field Music, Pulled Apart By Horses, Battles, Slow Club, Lanterns On The Lake, Pete & The Pirates, any of these would be most welcome. Ominously, The Enemy have today released details of their new album...

Would be well happy if Gruff Rhys was announced...

Billy Bragg maybe?? Filling the Frank Turner slot??

We Are Augustines though...ooohhhh!

Is the Happy Mondays rumour still doing the rounds? Can't see it myself...

Quite hard to get excited about festivals when you're looking out the window and its snowing...

I've read that Tribes are headlining the Calling out stage, if theyre up against Dizzee it'll be packed for that performance, get there early !

We know Vintage Trouble are headling the CO stage on sunday, so i'll keep my fingers crossed that Tribes are headlining it saturday

That is a strong second announcement. Delighted with Ghostpoet, Spector, King Charles (saw him at The Hop in Wakey a year or so ago and he seemed to be a cross between Prince and Robert Plant, playing in front of 10 people), Mono LPs. And DJ Yoda with the Transiberian Marching Band sounds worth clocking. I generally prefer it if the word 'DJ' is prefaced with 'Hang The', but that sounds intriguing.

And still no Wind Up Birds !

Really happy with that, Toddla T and Jaymo and Andy George will add another dimension to the dance tent.

Tribes and The View are very solid and not forgetting Benjamin Francis Leftwich, they really have pulled it out of the bag this year! Cannot wait now.

It does look as if there's loads of Calling Out Stage stuff to announce yet, so there's plenty of time for the Wind Ups to be dropped in. I've been surprised when I've seen them that there hasn't been more of a crowd. A band whose profile I'm sure would have benefited from a Peel Session or two. They aren't playing the Live at Leeds fest, or Long Division in Wakefield, and they haven't got much gig-wise announced so far this year. Album out shortly which means they might get out on the road, but I'd love them to open the Calling Out stage on Friday, would set the weekend up perfectly

    • 90,000 on a single for day or over the weekend?   if it was for the whole weekend that’s disastrous   Given camping didn’t sell out unless they in effect transferred a lot of camping captivity to Chappell Roan day tickets 90,000 is absolute capacity there I think, so it would be hard to believe   i think it’s from the year before but the TPD tv footage when the killers are headlining makes it look like it’s at best half full
    • A part of me thinks weirdly they might hold off on Chaka/Robbie until they have a year where nobody else who fits the bill is available. This slot takes a very specific set of criteria, and I can't imagine they're flushed with options who are on tour and would take the smaller payday every year. Both Chaka and Robbie have expressed interest in doing it, so they're bankers for a year where fewer options are available. Which may well be 2027.
    • Chaka and Robbie got to have decent chances due to previous reports
    • Chaka is a west holts act all day long and yes please (as part of my vaguely purple day that I am still trying to make happen).   Teatime? Bryan Adams.
